A little bloke I bred, ELITE EFFORT (Cool Effort x Elite Drop), was able to win pretty impressively over at Angle Pk last Wed, posting a more-than-handy 29.87 in the process.
Congratulations to his connections.

Geoff, what made you buy the mother of Cutting Edge? I see she was unraced so I assume she broke in very fast but broke down?
Sorry Mick and Craig that I havent got back to you before this but I wasnt sure if I would be hijacking this topic by responding .. ???.. anyway I dont claim to be an expert and Im not suggesting that I know any more than Ryan or anyone else but I dont look at a pedigree like that ... I keep things much more simplified.
I dont mind looking back into the 6th or 7th generation but only out of interest .. and those generations dont come into my equations when trying to breed a good race dog. I do take a special interest in the direct damline or bottom line but there are 64 dogs in the 6th generation and 128 in the 7th generation of a pedigree so to me thats fairly diluted.
Quare Fire would be doubled up on the 6th and 7th line in thousands of dogs so while its nice to have her there, I would suggest that the more current members of this pedigree ie: Dreamy Blossom .. would have far more influence here than her .. but anyway each to their own
CHASIN THE DREAM - she could run but broke a toe and never raced her dam Dreamy Blossom was an absolute superstar on the track and an All-American her damline (Representation-Lear Jet-Tish The Dish) has produced more All Americans than any other US damline .. and CTD is by Lonesome Cry who is developing into one of the worlds best broodbitch sires
BARCIA BALE as a race dog he was rated very highly by the Wheeler camp not just the Wheeler family but even the workers rated him as something special .. every time I ran into them around the traps all they would talk about is Barcia. He offered the Head Honcho sire line which worked with imports in Ireland and his dam is a grand-daughter of Brett Lee via Hallucinate and a litter sister to Bartrim Bale.
So pretty simple really .. a well-bred imported bitch from a great damline by a top brood bitch sire mated to a well-bred fast Australian sire
Thanks Geoff, it's great to get a breeders insight into the breeding of a very successful litter.

Congratulations to Sandra Giles & partner John on getting grand old stager I'M ALL STRIPES (Bit Chili x Autumn Waltz) up for another Albion Park 520m win tonight.
I regard it as a pretty decent job on behalf of both the dog & his Trainer (& there's actually a couple still racing very competitively from this litter I bred), which are now 4yrs & 7 months of age!
We actually thought his litter brother was a "good thing" in his race up North last night, but the meeting was washed out (unfortunately!)

Deadly boy brought up win number 26 over 720 Northam in the 16,000 to the winner Christmas cup.
Only 1.4 off the track record.
161,000 in Prize money most of his career in top class. Never really had an injury been a terrific dog for his owners and trainers.
Go Skunky. Named that because of a little white stripe on him from a mainly black litter with minimum markings, Funny story a guy put a deposit on him as a pup and didn't turn up to pick him up. Not a great decision :)
