Have been advised by the greyhound data team to make a dedicated post for Oaks Road at stud.
You may also notice him now being advertised with a Skyscraper Advert.
Big thanks to Tony for making the process a breeze

Hi Matthew, thanks for taking out a Skyscraper Advert and supporting the site. All the best with Oaks Road and hopefully we will see champions in the future, good luck!

Good Luck with your boy Matthew, Super dog who is good value at $1100 for a dog who did what he did on the track, and doubt there is a better bred stud dog anywhere.

My tip is this fella will mate really well with bitches carrying Awesome Assassin in particular, some really nice links in their pedigrees. I agree Ray, just a beautifully bred dog.

I think Cosmic Rumble may have something too say about that statement!!
He certainly is very well bred but I guess it depends if it's what your looking for! I personally think Oaks Road is a little overpriced for a new sire in a cluttered and competitive market!! Plus you have proven studs with similar breeding in the same price range!!
Good luck though and i hope he gets some nice bitch's..

Mate I think Oaks Road has a much better dam line than Cosmic Rumble.
They are both outstanding but with Oaks Road they could run and throw champions.
Oaks Road has a G1 winning mother who come from that special litter and thats just the tip of the ice berg of his dam line.
Waroo Lass, National Lass - come on mate have another look :)

I think we can both be right. I don't doubt the depth of OR's damline but I prefer the rumble damline. Spiritual rumble was a multiple group 1 finalist (I'm not sure she won any) and full sister too some brilliant dogs. I think it comes down too preference and I prefer the later one lol.

Funny thing is they are both so much alike, there breeding is so close and they had a similar racing style.
They were both bred to be pretty special dogs thats for sure

Doug can you explain why you think this will be the case....just interested not picking. I have a bitch due to come on next month and she has AA back in her 3rd remove...so just interested in your thoughts

No worries
Well in my opinion that sort of mating will bring together some ancestors with an affinity with each other because they are bred similarly.
Light of Fire and Sobbing Sal CLICK HERE Awesome Assassin and Leprechaun Yap CLICK HERE Tranquil Flame and Hotshot bred on similar cross themselves CLICK HERE Outcross sireline hopefully means that his damline can really come to the fore if mated with an Awesome Assassin bitch. I just think it's got a fair bit going for it.
That's my take on him anyway and obviously you have to consider the bitch herself and what you're looking for him to provide in your pups traitswise etc as well, time will tell I suppose.
Who's your girl if you don't mind me asking?

Just had a long chat with Oaks Road's stud master Mark Gatt and we have decided to send straws to WA. Assuming all goes well we will continue to do so. We feel we don't want any one to miss out especially our Perth cousins who accommodated us so well when winning the Perth Cup.

I hope he throws some rockets for you. Not sure when they will land but if you need them urgently give Mark a call and he will work something out
