I'm quietly confident Barcia Bale is going nowhere any time soon Phil. Hidden Assets and Winsome Shiraz are mothers of some outstanding young pups trialling the tracks as we speak. I know of a couple of very nice Good odds Stace break ins that are doing well in Perth. And a more than capable bitch out of Persian Silk. IMHO Barcia Bale will be a special sire. Obviously time will tell but Barcia was truly a once in a lifetime dog that we unfortunately never saw the best of, and with a dam line to kill for. As I've said previously, all aboard the Barcia Bale train. Next stop... "Good times"

Thanks Anthony. There are two blue fawn pups which I find quite unusual

I did see that Chris but can't help but compare his times to others over 500m when considering a sire.

Craig I can't agree his times were not as good over 500m. 4 sub 30s runs at Meadows in bon is hard to top for a young dog.
You must be from NSW if you rate a Bulli 400m track record much higher than a 29.84 Meadows bon.

That's true Craig I suppose we can only wait till they start racing. Much anticipation like all first season sires. One thing I like about the pups we have are their early speed and chase, throw in their pedigree and I think his future looks positive. Probably won't hurt to buy a straw and put it in the bank. I'll always take it off your hands if you don't want it ;)

Craig
You cannot run the times he did at - Bulli, Horsham and Maitland, Shepparton and even possibly Geelong without being able to run a strong 500m, they might not be 500m in distance, but they are as equally hard a hit out. Further, the dog won five from five at The Meadows and only failed to break the 30 second mark once running 30.03 ...his average winning time at The Meadows was 29.92, give me a dog that can consistently win running 29.92 every time over a dog that will win one in ten or twelve in 29.70 odd. I don't know if the dog was ever trialed at Sandown but I'd lay money if he did he would he would've gone 29.35 or better on a well prepared track.
His dam - Princess Bale, of which Chris would know better then us all could run a very strong 700m+, so whilst there is no guarantees within breeding I would be amazed and totally dumbstruck if he doesn't throw strength.
