It has been a challenge getting my broods to come on season and after many a long discussion with john macalister I listened to some of his advice and thought it was definitely left of feild.

We went through the main ones to tick off like back adjustments done that, put near a bitch on season (none to put her next to), then I told him I was gona get her ovaries flushed and you told me to wait even if she went by another year,

You suggested I stimulate the teets by massage (did it and thought I'm going nuts) and you told me to walk her and change things up for her, you said go and take her to a male dog and let him sniff her (went one better and moved a male in to the kennel beside her and held her against the wire holding her tail up so he could sniff her), you said I had to start trying to trigger her brian to think like a brood bitch.

Well it worked because after 4 days of doing the few things that you mentioned she came on season yesterday and you showed the most relevant example that exists in greyhounds is to listen and try anything because thinking outside the square seems to reward people in the greyhound industry.

Not everything will work for everyone but by not excluding things you haven't tried could serve to be the biggest hurdle of all conquered. Something tells me your smarter than you let on JMAC.

Thank you once again.

Thanks for that Sean I,m glad to hear you managed to have the girl come into season yes I learnt many wonderful things can happen to us human guys if we can find the right approach to trigger the result and Bingo Stars all round well Girl Greyhounds work under a similar routine I think ...maybe it could have been the Bushfire ...now where are you going to take her that,s my Question I answered yours ....lol honestly ...I remember the old blokes use to use their finger when they were on to make them think they were grown up when they were on ....yuk ...they use to think it was easier for the girls to take the stud dogs at a later date ...maybe that,s why they use a teaser before the Stallion is led out ...good luck mate

Fountain of knowledge our Jmac and much better in person than on the keyboard (like most of us)helped me with pups at the track in great discomfort unknown too me and its blokes like him that I think about with the ultimate demise of this great sport.Ive got enough pups here to keep me racing for a few years but I'm out and I'm not encouraging any one to do the same ,its a personal choice.Things needed cleaning up no doubt but now its a bunch wally's who wouldn't know the first thing about grooming a pup to become a racedog running the game on there inflated salaries.Despising and patronising us at every turn and my prides to great too take it.It takes a dog to bring out the worst in people and this saying has proven correct in this whole saga. For me an absolute financial suicide but life goes on and time stops for no one.
