Hi Brian, Get yourself some Zheng Gu Shui for their bones. Is it metatarsal or metacarpal, as the latter is far more common? Whichever it is, get a very good muscleman/greyhound vet to check out their backs, as backs out of alignment can cause a lot of these problems. Best wishes, Carole.

Brian, You didn't clarify if it is wrists or hocks. If you can keep the dogs checked regularly by the best muscleman/greyhound vet you can find, weekly if possible, and keep the back in place as much as possible, then your injury rate should be less. Also try not to let them free gallop on rough ground, as this will definitely contribute to wrist and hock injuries. Use the ZGS though, it is magic on bones, but you need to get the one for fractures, dislocations, etc. Best wishes and good luck, Carole.

How do you apply the ZGS please? Does it cause any adverse effects? Do you need to muzzle the dogs/licking the treated area? please advise! xw ta

Hi Woody, first, make sure you have the right ZGS if you are using it for a bone problem. You can paint it on a couple of times a day with a toothbrush, but don't scrub it on. We have never encountered any adverse effects with it, and I don't think you would have much of a problem with a dog licking the area, as it tastes vile ! Great stuff, though.
Oops better get my brain into gear its all this wet weather lol.

If its just after a race ive found voltaren very good lately but i think 2 or 3 days before a race you cant use it. The best thing i found that wont swab is Odzon. Its really good stuff. You can put it on before a trial slip or walk then hose it off after. If you can ice it straight after a run it will help also.
