Is it normal for a bitch to have some milk on day 42 of her pregnancy.

I have read that some canines begin leaking milk 7 to 9 days before delivery opposed to a usual 1 to 2 days before.
And if you work out the span of days that a canine can have for pregnancy, you may be closer than you think.
However you decipher information given, always feel 100 per cent that you are well informed and feel comfortable.
I am pretty new to the canine breeding side of things, and my bitch had to have a emergency ceasarian, so it was fun and games for some time after they were born. And it was definitely a great learning experience, and that is only because I made sure I was well informed and on the ready.

Just becareful because there can be a danger with the possibility of going too early re: the puppies lungs not being developed properly. And sometimes depending on other factors pregnancy dates can be out a little. I really hope that she will be fine, but better to be prepared just in case. I have just commented fairly quickly tonight but I would actually be in contact with a vet so that they are in the loop sooner rather than later.
Hope all is well.

Sorry my internet is so slow it makes it hard when commenting in order sometimes. There definitely can be curve balls. With our litter, one of the puppies was stuck in the birth canal. And by coincidence i spoke to someone previously that shared their similar emergency experience so I was even better when it come to being on hand.
