Minerals and Trace elements
The soil in Australia is notoriously low in minerals and trace elements, as an end result the meat provided in the greyhounds diet is generally low in minerals and trace elements. Therefore it tends to be necessary to provide added minerals and trace elements to the diet.
Calcium
Essential for bone growth, muscle function including the heart muscles, assists in the utilization of phosphorus.
Phosphorus
Functions in conjunction with calcium for healthy bone growth, and helps maintain pH of blood.
Chlorine
A trace element required for liver function, protein digestion, and electrolyte balance.
Chromium
A trace element involved in utilization of sugars, cholesterol metabolism, and heart protein synthesis.
Copper
A trace element required for the absorption of iron, protein metabolism, healthy skin, and connective tissue.
Fluorine
A trace element required for strong bones and teeth.
Iodine
A trace element essential for the production of thyroxin, the thyroid hormone
Iron
Essential for the production of haemoglobin, the oxygen carrier of the blood
Manganese
A trace element required for strong tendon and ligament development in growing pups, enzyme function, and the nervous system.
Magnesium
A trace element required for nervous system, enzyme function, muscle tone, and blood pH balance.
Molybdenum
A trace element involved in enzyme function.
Potassium
Essential for normal muscle contraction, heart function, and maintaining fluid balance
Selenium
A trace element required for liver regeneration, pancreatic and haemoglobin function.
Silicon
A trace element required for strong bone growth, hair and teeth.
Sodium
Essential for correct electrolyte balance and regulation of body fluids
Sulphur
A trace element required for skin, hair, and nails.
Zinc
An extremely important trace element involved in many enzyme functions, the formation of DNA and body protein, essential for skin, coat and the immune system.
As you can see from the above list there are a large number of vitamins, minerals and trace elements required for normal body function.
To try and determine exactly what you should add to the food is virtually impossible, and somewhere along the line you will have to trust the experts, that is the people that produce the vitamin mixtures and additives, or the prepared complete diet preparations on the market. Only the long-term health of your greyhounds will determine if you have made the right decision

Disclaimer:
This post is only for those who feel they need assistance with Dietary issues.

Potassium

Major Functions in the body:
Nerve and muscle function, avoidance of cramping. Water balance.

Signs of deficiency:
Weakness, poor performance and dehydration, decreased appetite, and higher risk of cramping.

Signs of Excess:
Nervousness, dehydration occurs if low fluid intake and decreased kidney function.

High Risk Dietary Imbalances:
Lack of adequate, good quality water. Excess loss in hard walking, excitable greyhounds.
High salt or bicarbonate in diet causes excess excretion

Dietary Needs:
Slow release coated tablets provide sustained supply to avoid excess excretion.
600-1,200mg daily to assist in preventing dehydration and cramping in greyhounds.

Sodium:

Major Functions in the body:
Nerve and muscle function, thirst and fluid control, kidney excretion.

Signs of Deficiency:
Slow growth, weight loss, fatigue, dehydration. Excessive thirst, reduced appetite, itching, hypertension and potassium deficiency.

Signs of Excess:
Lack of adequate good quality water.

High Risk Dietary Imbalances:
Dry foods contain 1-1.3%.

Dietary Needs:
Do not add extra salt if more than 300g dry food added daily.
Do not use salt mixes formulated for sweating horses, human athletes.

Magnesium:

Major Functions/Use in body.
Bone and muscle development, metabolism of energy, blood production.

Signs of Deficiency:
Weak toes, hocks and limbs, reduced growth and poor performance, nervousness?

Signs of Excess:
Laxative effects due to poor absorption. Urine crystals?

High Risk Dietary Imbalances
High calcium and fat levels can reduce uptake. Lack of adequate, good quality water.

Dietary Needs
Add half RDI in nervy cramping greyhounds, or during hot weather.

Iron:

Major Functions/Use in Body
Blood cell and haemoglobin synthesis. Tissue enzymes for metabolism.

Signs of Deficiency:
Anaemia and poor stamina - can be due to excess blood loss from heavy hookworm burdens - loss of iron from system.

Signs of Excess:
Loss of weight, decreased blood protein levels and appetite - more toxic if diets low in vitamin E/selenium.

High Risk Dietary Imbalances:
High milk diets, white meat (chicken, fish) on a continuous basis., Heavy burdens of hookworms.

Dietary Needs:
Essential to supplement white meat based diets with at least 75% RDI amounts - Regularly control hookworms

Zinc:

Major Functions/Use in body:
Skin and membrane maximum in feed health, disease resistance, bone development. Tissue enzymes for metabolism.

Signs of Deficiency:
Poor appetite, slow growth, hair loss, scaly skin, poor wound healing.

Signs Of Excess:
Induces calcium and copper deficiency signs.

High Risk Dietary Imbalances:
High calcium diets reduce absorption, also high cereal intake in dry foods.

Dietary Needs
Add half RDI to dry food based diets or where calcium is supplemented. Some calcium supplements contain extra zinc.

Minerals

Minerals are involved in several metabolic functions that occur within the Canine body. Several minerals are components of enzymes (protein based molecules that speed up a chemical reaction in a living organism) which act as catalysts for many of the chemical reactions that occur within the body. Minerals also regulate and manage the normal function of human and animal organs, muscles, and tissues.

For example, sodium and potassium are crucial for maintaining proper fluid balance, calcium is a the primary structural component in bones and teeth, and iron is responsible for transporting oxygen, in the blood, throughout the body.

Skin, hair, nails, teeth, bones, and all other tissues require minerals in able to form. In addition, minerals are also involved in several bodily functions, including controlling several systems within the body and in the production of energy. In the event that an individual is deficient in any one of the major or trace minerals, the Canine body will digress to a level of structural weakness, internal system dysfunction, and over time, contract some form of debilitating disease. Some minerals include:

Calcium
Chloride
vitamins, minerals, and amino acids Chromium
Copper
Iodine
Iron
Magnesium
Manganese
Molybdenum
Phosphorus
Potassium
Selenium
Sodium
Zinc

Amino Acids

Amino Acids play several key roles within the Canine body and are responsible, or assist with, several bodily functions required to sustain life. For instance, amino acids assist in building and maintaining all bodily tissues like skin, muscles, ligaments, tendons, organs, blood, and bones. Amino Acids are the building blocks of protein and are the vital components of skin, hair, muscle tissue, the body's organs, blood cells, various enzymes, hormones, and body fluids. Amino Acids are also responsible for regulating functions such as growth, digestion, and maintaining the body's immune system. Amino Acids include:

Essential Amino Acids

Arginine
Histidine
vitamins, minerals, and amino acids Isoleucine
Leucine
Lysine
Methionine
Phenylalanine
Threonine
Tryptophan
Valine

Non-Essential Amino Acids

Alanine
Asparagine
Aspartic Acid
Cysteine
Glutamic Acid
Glutamine
Glycine
Proline
Serine
Tyrosine
Herbs

There are two types of Amino Acids, Essential and Non-Essential. Essential Amino Acids are not produced within the body naturally and are extracted from the foods we consume each day. Non-Essential Amino Acids are found naturally within the body and are produced by the body from the essential amino acids or from the normal breakdown of proteins.

Here are the top 10 super herbs to cleanse your kidneys.

1. Parsley

Parsley is a potent, natural diuretic herb that can cleanse the kidneys. It promotes increased urine output to help flush bacteria and germs out of the kidneys. Parsley owes its diuretic effect to the compounds apiol and myristicin.

A 2002 study published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology found that rats that drank parsley seed extract produced significantly more urine over a 24-hour period than those that drank water.

Drink a few cups of parsley tea for about a week to cleanse your kidneys. To make the tea, add 1 tablespoon of crushed fresh parsley to a cup of boiling water. Cover and steep for 5 minutes, then strain it.
Alternatively, prepare a detoxifying drink by mixing cup of parsley juice, cup of water and a little honey and lemon juice. Drink it twice daily for a couple of weeks.
You can also include this herb in your salad and other dishes.
Note: Avoid eating large amounts of parsley if you are pregnant.

2. Dandelion Root

According to a 2009 study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, dandelion works as a diuretic in humans and increases urine production. Due to its diuretic properties, it helps cleanse both the kidneys and the liver. Moreover, dandelion relieves water retention and soothes irritation in the urinary system.

To cleanse the kidneys, you can drink 2 cups of dandelion tea twice daily for a few weeks. To make the tea:

Boil 2 teaspoons of dried dandelion root in 1 cup of water for 5 minutes.
Turn off the heat, cover and steep for about 10 minutes.
Strain, add some honey and drink the tea.
You can also make this tea with dandelion tea bags.

Note: As this herb may react with certain medications, consult a doctor prior to using dandelion to cleanse your kidneys.

3. Marshmallow

Marshmallow also contains diuretic properties that encourage increased urine flow. This helps cleanse the kidneys from the buildup of toxins and promotes kidney health. Moreover, marshmallow can fight kidney, urinary tract and bladder infections.

Add 1 tablespoon of dried marshmallow roots and leaves to a cup of hot water.
Cover and steep for 8 to 10 minutes, then strain it.
Drink 2 cups of this herbal tea daily for a week to cleanse your kidneys.
Note: Avoid marshmallow if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have diabetes.

4. Ginger

Ginger is another effective cleansing herb for the kidneys. It can help flush toxins and harmful materials out of the kidneys as well as improve digestion. This herb is also beneficial for cleansing your liver.

One of the best ways to enjoy gingers cleansing benefit is sipping ginger tea. To make the tea, simmer 2 teaspoons of fresh-grated ginger in 2 cups of water for 10 minutes. Strain, add honey and lemon juice as per taste, and drink it 2 or 3 times daily.
Also, include raw or dry ginger in your everyday cooking to keep your kidneys in good health.

5. Turmeric

Turmeric is another well-known herb that has cleansing properties. It cleanses the kidneys, detoxifies your liver and purifies the blood. Moreover, it contains anti-inflammatory properties that can help prevent and treat kidney inflammation and infections.

Mix 1 teaspoon of raw turmeric juice, the juice of or 1 lemon, a pinch of cayenne pepper and a little honey in a cup of warm water. Drink it once daily for a few weeks.
Another option is to add teaspoon each of turmeric powder and dry ginger powder to 2 cups of boiling water. Simmer for 10 minutes, then strain it. Add the juice of lemon and 1 tablespoon of maple syrup. Drink it once daily for a few weeks.
You can also eat a little raw turmeric or add it to your meals.

6. Celery

Celery has natural diuretic properties. It aids in removing toxins and harmful materials from the body by increasing urination. In addition, celery contains essential nutrients that stimulate your kidneys. In fact, regular celery intake can prevent kidney stones and infections.

Drink 1 glass of celery juice every day for a few weeks.
Alternatively, make a glass of juice by blending 2 celery ribs, cup fresh parsley, 1 carrot and 1 cucumber in a juicer. Drink this once daily for a few weeks.

7. Stinging Nettle

nettle

Stinging nettle can also help cleanse your kidneys. Due to its diuretic properties, it increases urine production, helps remove metabolic waste and promotes renal excretion.

At the same time, this herb helps keep crystals from forming into stones and keeps bacteria away to reduce the risk of kidney infections.

Steep 2 teaspoons of fresh or dried stinging nettle in a cup of hot water.
Allow it to steep for about 10 minutes.
Strain and add a little honey.
Drink this herbal tea twice daily for a couple of weeks.
Note: As this herb can interfere with blood-thinning, high blood pressure, diuretic and diabetic medications, always consult your doctor before including it in your diet.

8. Horsetail

horsetail tea

Horsetail is a common herb with diuretic properties. It increases urine output to flush harmful toxins and materials out of the body. In addition, its antioxidant properties offer many benefits to the kidneys and renal system.

To make horsetail tea, add 1 to 3 teaspoons of fresh or dried horsetail to a cup of boiling water. Cover, steep for 5 to 10 minutes and strain the herb before drinking the tea. You can drink 2 to 3 cups of this tea daily for a week to cleanse your kidneys.
You can also take horsetail supplements to promote flow of urine. Consult your doctor before taking supplements.

9. Uva Ursi

uva ursi

Uva ursi is an herb that has natural diuretic properties that help cleanse the kidneys and fight kidney infections. The chief constituent of uva ursi is a phenolic glycoside called arbutin that makes this herb diuretic in nature.

Its astringent properties encourage harmful toxins and bacteria to pass out of the kidneys. This herb also helps keep the pH balance of urine from being too acidic.

You can take this herb tea or supplement form to cleanse your kidneys. Consult a doctor for the correct dosage and procedure to take this herb.

10. Corn Silk

corn silk

Corn silk is diuretic in nature and stimulates urine production for the removal of waste and water from the kidneys. You can use it to treat bladder infections, kidney stones and urinary infections.

Put 2 teaspoons of dried corn silk in a cup.
Pour boiling water over it, cover and steep for 10 to 15 minutes, then strain it.
Drink this tea 2 or 3 times a day.
Make sure to drink plenty of other fluids when you use corn silk tea to cleanse your kidneys.
Note: As this herb may interact with certain medications, consult your doctor before using it.

Herbs can be very dangerous - Vitamin Mineral & Amino Acids are proven Supplements.
The Greyhound Trainer would need a Chemistry Degree to work through the minefield created by administering Herbs.

Peter Herbs have been the backbone of medicine since Adam was a boy .

Natural medicines are now once again leading the way like they have always done in History .

Now this is ridiculous that you try to pull people now away from NATURAL herbs by saying they are toxic and the products you sell Peter are not the only ones on the market and the marketplace is littered with the exact same TOXIC Ingredients you and others sell and i still am waiting for VIDEO OF THE PROCESSING FACILITY ....

Now you are sounding stupid and ridiculous i have tried to steer you along but you insistent attacks on any one who don't agree with you is becoming ridiculous and yes read what you post .

Have you read the latest research on Turmeric Parsley celery touch of ginger and Garlic once a week ..

If you would of researched these three things and if you made a drink of three of those products alone would greatly assist any trainer ..

A chemistry degree for something as simple as herbs is totally ridiculous and now you are clutching at straws .

Every Company who manufactures any product for the Animal is doing it tough with less sales forecast for 2017 ..ask them

The REASON WHY
People are sick of these products that claim to help when in fact they stuff your dog up inside ....FACT ..

Over 30 years products come and go and the rubbish pumped out by the PR machine is ridiculous ..

There must be a dozen products all CHEMICALLY MADE that claims to do the exact same things as you Claim Peter ...

Natural medicine is and has always been part of training any animal and your IGNORANCE NOW IS SHOWING ...

Tell me why you feel your PRODUCT is the best and what makes your product better than your competitor ...

You don't train

You don't rear

You don't break in

You dont breed ..

You like to Feed flour water salt sugar and preservatives as a substitute for a premium kibble ..

Interesting that you choose to ignore the links posted above with regard to toxicity in certain Herbs - You chose to select the 4 that links weren't supplied for - I suggest you search them and post the reference prior to me doing so.

You talk of me promoting own products - I suggest to you that most of my Threads are general information for Greyhound Trainers without Brand or Product names.
Posting a Video of Production - Perhaps when you and the others that are targeting my suggestions post a video of your feeding room and methods and other Brand Manufacturers who are in these threads do so - Perhaps then I would consider your offer.
Calling someone stupid and personally targeting someone and name calling for not agreeing with you is not in my nature.
each to their own opinion - Again there are many GD Members who agree - I receive calls and email daily - They wont post here to avoid being told they are stupid.

Where did you see a reference to FLOUR in my suggestion about Greyhound Diets??
Bread!!! Yes
Ingredients in Bread
Rye - Sorghum - Soya - Maize - Wheat - Oat etc
Bread as Flour was superseded 30years ago.
Salt - Sugar??
I have made several references to Maltodextrin as Carbohydrate Sugar in preference to Glucose. (Reasons in previous posts)
Water?? Well every Trainer feeds water - Without if there would be no life!!
Salt??? I have made several references to Salt in Kibble at 1% and higher as the cause Greyhounds drink too much water.
25kg bag = 250g Salt 100 X 250 Kibble allocations = 2.5gram per allocation that is 1/2 Teaspoon. To balance Potassium Chloride the Greyhound Trainer would need to overdose Potassium to retain balance
Overdose Potassium and "Thumps" will appear "Irregular Heartbeat"
Overdose Potassium it has the potential to stop the heart.

If you quote me please be accurate
Interpretation leads to Misrepresentation.

Kevin

GROUND HOG DAY ..

Ok Pete what makes your products better than the rest ..

You have no idea what you are talking about in regards to Herbs and your general comments have been around promoting your products..

You products do more harm than good FACT just like the many other products that have the exact same ingredients as your rubbish .

Your stuff don't work on most dogs ..

Here you go Pete fire away and I have as long as it takes to continue to show you that there are more ways to skin a cat than you suggest and after so many people have told you your products stuff greyhounds you still insist on pressing the point so that's fine i will hammer you all the way along if that is what you want and i have no problems at all posting my DIATRIBE OVER YOURS ....

Whole Wheat

Bread

It is true that whole wheat is healthier than refined wheat.

But this does NOT mean that whole wheat is healthy.

Its kind of like saying that because filtered cigarettes are healthier than unfiltered cigarettes, everyone should be smoking filtered cigarettes. Its flawed logic.

There are plenty of good reasons to avoid wheat both the refined and the whole variety.

For example, wheat is the main source of gluten in the diet and a large part of the population may be gluten sensitive (4, 5, 6).

The immune system of susceptible individuals attacks the gluten proteins in the digestive tract. This can cause damage to the lining of the digestive tract, pain, bloating, tiredness, stool inconsistency and other nasty symptoms (7, 8, 9).

One study shows that wheat fiber can make you Vitamin D deficient, making you burn through your stores of this important vitamin much faster (10).

Another study shows that whole wheat raises small, dense LDL (the truly bad cholesterol) by a whopping 60% (11).

Bottom Line: Whole wheat is rich in gluten and can cause digestive problems and various symptoms. It may also cause Vitamin D deficiency and elevated small, dense LDL cholesterol.

7. Gluten-Free Junk Foods

Muffin

Many people have started to avoid gluten a protein found in wheat, spelt, rye and barley (and a few other grains).

Almost a third of the U.S. population currently wants to cut back on gluten or go gluten-free.

Food manufacturers have caught up on the trend and have started offering all sorts of gluten-free health foods.

The problem with these foods is that theyre usually not healthy at all.

Instead of a gluten grain, theyre made with other starches like potato starch, tapioca starch or some others. These starches are usually highly refined, void of nutrients and spike blood sugar fast, just like wheat.

But these products are often also loaded with sugar and other harmful or artificial chemicals.

This does NOT apply to foods that are naturally gluten free, like meats or vegetables. If a product says gluten-free on the package, then its probably bad for you.

Bottom Line: Gluten-free foods are highly processed foods that are not much healthier than their gluten-containing counterparts. Its best to avoid them.

Yes, I eat bread.
Its time to address the many questions I get about one of most wonderful and satisfying foods on earth Bread! I dont want to live without it and you shouldnt have to either.

Bread is a really hot topic and is targeted as the root of many health problems. Overall, bread gets a bad reputation because grains are not easy for your body to digest, can overwork your pancreatic enzymes, contain the anti-nutrient phytic acid and an abundance of dreaded gluten. Also, our wheat crops in this country have been through some serious genetic manipulation to make them profitable for the food industry and less healthy for us.

The main problem with wheat (unless you have a gluten sensitivity) is that we as a culture eat too much of it in general. Just take a look at the typical American diet a bagel for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch and rolls or pasta for dinner. Thats a lot of grain in just one day. Even larger amounts would be consumed if we take into consideration common snacks like crackers and desserts like cookies. Additionally, commercially available grain-based products that line grocery store shelves and are served at restaurants are unhealthy. They are full of ingredients that are not food, like azodicarbonamide (the same chemical in yoga mats and shoe rubber), other chemical dough conditioners, added sugars, artificial flavorings or coloring and GMOs. Flour can be treated with any of the 60 different chemicals approved by the FDA before it ends up on store shelves including chemical bleach! Also, the industrial processing destroys nutrients, such as Vitamin E and fiber. Remember, it only takes 4 ingredients to make bread flour, yeast, water and salt, theres really no need for all that other nonsense.

If you are like me, you probably want to enjoy the occasional piece of bread without subjecting yourself to of all these questionable ingredients. Ive done a lot of research on bread brands, and have uncovered what can make grains really unhealthy and which ones make a nutritious addition to any diet because they are whole, unadulterated and real foods.

Examples of Store-Bought Breads To Stay Away From:
Sara Lee

Martins Potato Rolls

Pepperidge Farm

ThomasEnglishMuffins

Udis

Arnold LIght Bread

Please note: Natures Own Bread recently took out azodicarbonamide, but is still not recommended. The picture of ingredients was removed after this news release in WSJ on 2/28/2014.

The Health Wrecking Ingredients in Bread:
Dough Conditioners these are unnecessary in traditional bread making and only make the process faster and cheaper for the food industry to make bread in big machinery. Many dough conditioners like azodicarbonamide (which is banned all over the world), DATEM, monoglycerides, diglycerides, sodium stearoyl lactylate are linked to health issues. Many dough conditioners start with manipulating fat like soybean oil or corn oil, which is also most likely GMO. Natures Own, Arnold, Wonderbread, Martins, Sara Lee, and many other popular brands are guilty of using dough conditioners.
Preservatives Bread is supposed to be fresh and eaten within a few days from baking unless frozen. If you see preservatives like calcium propionate, which is linked to ADHD, put the bread down and keep searching. Warning: Pepperidge Farm uses this ingredient to retard spoilage.
GMOs Most commercially available breads contain one or many genetically modified ingredients like soy lecithin, soybean oil, corn oil, corn starch or soy flour. GMOs have not been tested long term on humans, however we know that the pesticides sprayed on them are absolutely toxic and considered to be poisonous. Some GMOs are created by inserting a toxic pesticide into the seed itself to make an insects stomach explode when they try to eat it.
Added sugar This is where you really need to watch out. Theres nothing wrong with a little honey to bring out the sweetness in whole wheat bread, but most manufactures are using high fructose corn syrup, GMO sugar made from sugar beets, or some other artificial sweetener like Sucralose that are not the best forms of sugar and can pose health risks. Almost all commercially baked brands have some form of added sweetener especially watch out for light breads, which often contain more added sugar like Arnold Bakery Light.
Artificial flavors and coloring These ingredients are made from petroleum and are linked to several health issues like hyperactivity in children, allergies and asthma. They are easy to spot on the label because the FDA requires it. However, ingredients like caramel coloring can fool you into thinking this ingredient is a real food. Most industrial caramel coloring is created by heating ammonia and is considered a carcinogen when created this way. Martins potato rolls have Yellow #5 and Yellow #6, and Thomass English Muffins have caramel coloring.
Now before I share my top recommendations for the best (and healthiest) breads on the market I should tell you the truth about how much bread I actually consume on a weekly basis. My diet consists of mostly plants like fruits, vegetables, seeds, beans and nuts along with the occasional meat, dairy or bread product. However, when I travel I like to enjoy the local culture (think crossisants in France and pizza in Italy). Im not about giving up whole food groups. My diet is about balance and choosing the most nutritious choices, but I do like to live a little and have my bread on occasion! At the grocery store, I buy the best of whats available for my body and here are the choices I feel good about buying.

Thankfully, you dont have to get out the bread maker or learn to make bread from scratch. There are many healthy bread options available if you just know what to look for!

The Healthiest Breads On The Market
Sprouted Grains I love sprouted grains because they are technically vegetables. To sprout a grain, you just soak it until it begins to sprout into a little plant. These sprouts are then ground up to make bread. When you eat a grain that has been refined into flour, your body quickly metabolizes it like a sugar, which causes your insulin to spike. This can make you gain weight and contributes to diabetes and inflammation. For all of these reasons, I dont buy bread that is primarily made from flours, especially wheat flour which is really just white refined flour. The sprouts are much more easily digested than starchy flour, and contain more vitamins, minerals and antioxidants than whole grains. Phytic acid is destroyed when the grain sprouts, so your body is able to absorb the nutrients in these grains which makes them that much better for you!

My favorite sprouted grain bread is the classic Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Bread by Food for Life its made up from six different organic sprouted grains and absolutely no flour! This combo of sprouted grains contains all 9 essential amino acids, which makes up a complete protein. I use their Cinnamon Raisin version to make this yummy breakfast casserole. There are no preservatives in these breads, so I keep them in my freezer and take out portions as I need them. I also love the sesame seed bread, whole grain tortillas, corn tortillas and english muffins by Food for Life. Hands down they are the healthiest breads on the market. They are available in most health food stores and some conventional stores in the freezer section.

Other good sprouted breads are Mannas Sunseed bread and Daves Killer Bread Sprouted Wheat, which are both a healthy combo of organic sprouted wheat and seeds.

Ancient Grains (spelt, quinoa, amaranth, millet, sorghum) & Gluten-Free Unlike wheat, these grains are called ancient because they havent changed for thousands of years. They are packed with nutrients and many of these grains can be used to make gluten-free bread. Just make sure that the bread you are buying is labeled as gluten-free if you are trying to avoid gluten because not all ancient grains are gluten-free and they may be blended with wheat. Manna makes a good gluten-free bread with brown rice, sorghum, millet, amaranth, quinoa and chia seeds. Please note, almost all gluten-free breads contain added sugar in the form of honey, molasses, agave nectar or evaporated cane juice.

Now, lets go break some bread with our loved ones and share this article with them. Everyone deserves good bread without chemical additives that can wreck their health.

You appear to believe the only ingredient in Bread is Wheat.
Read the ingredient list on your bread label - You will be surprised

Bread?? - Did you read where I also suggested Rice - Oats - as well as Bread.
I suggested combinations of these with added Vegetables also - To make up the suggested 1% of bodyweight in Carbohydrate.

26kg = 260g
32kg = 320g
38kg = 380g
Carbohydrate = Fed half morning half night

Interpretation leads to Misrepresentation.

There are countless trainers in Australia feeding this diet.
Generally they are in the first 4 in races.
Ask them.

I Used a general list COPY AND PASTE pete to show what herbs can do and how many are very useful with some simple GOOGLE RESEARCH..

I challenge you and your company to provide evidence that everything they say is on the bucket is in the bucket and you can not tell me CROSS CONTAMINATION happens on a very regular basis ..

Peter I have worked in these places and i have seen what happens and even Human grade manufacturing contains contamination..

The pet industry is UNREGULATED in regards to Contamination ....

The processes needed to manufacture many products is flawed and they all use the cheapest ingredients so it's about the bottom line $$$$ that's all it is the hype with any new products has always been the same and people learn very fast what these things can do to a fit healthy Greyhound

People with your views are known as "Sceptics"

Remember when the Greyhound Live Baiting became a National issue

Mike Baird put all trainers in the 1 basket

What happened to Magic Mike

Kevin you can try to put all companies in 1 Group but you will scare people to all evacuate Australia and move to Adam and Eve's garden
I think it is now a Brown Coal Mine

Groundhog day ...
Pete i have other interests to worry about but you have had a decent go and your spamming has been fun for me but if you continue to attack Jack then i am sorry you have the wrong site to spruik ...

Jack O is highly regarded not only for his advice and help to thousands of people over the years but his products all work as they say they do .

Just like Johnno they are what makes Data a great site and i thought i could spam a lot but you Pete take the prize as the most consistent spammer for years

How's sales as i do with every person who supports Greyhound people I like to give a plug a bit of support but your rants have been continuing and as i said i don't mind and i find it great to have a chat but you would get more bang for your buck if you at least acknowledged Jacks contribution to the industry and its participants for more than 50 years and that says a lot for any Greyhound man or Women and what they know they know through hard work and animal husbandry is second to none ...

Almost all Old timers know a great deal more than almost all the Vets and the care Greyhound men and women give is handed down like father to Son to others who want to learn ..
Training Pete is a craft not something many can do well and all the advice you have given maybe could help a amuetuer out but the long term goals is to keep a dog's inside fit and healthy and if we can achieve things without harsh Kidney flushes then who is the idiot ...I know i save on money and downtime feeding the way i do just like others as i said there is more than one way to skin a Cat ..

Jack........ I went for a ride Today 10.8 klm on my Ebike AT PEAK HOUR UP HEATHERTON ROAD ....clocking a huge speed of 32klm pH mind blowing ...
I used a lot of extra energy weaving in and out of the traffic so would i give myself a beer or a Kidney flush or would the beer a few beers be just as good
