Are you giving him any diuretics/kidney flushers and have you had a full blood test done ? Is he getting enough fluid in his breakfast and dinner ?

Give Beta-Cel daily in breakfast 1/2 teaspoon no problems then if the dog is fit for the distance. Keep fresh water in kennel with level marks inside the bucket. Then you will know if he is drinking and how much. Good luck!

You might try changing to a morning feed with additives of magnesium & calcium & Vit. E on the feed on raceday at least 8 hours prior to kennelling.
Then 1 to 2 hours before kennelling approx 2 cups of water with approx. 2 desert spoons of beef blood.
