Whatever she fancies my girl loved a cooked chook, no bones of course and the juice mixed with other food was a good way to get her to eat beef etc.

Plenty of good quality raw meat, as much as she wants, as later in her pregnancy, she will probably go off her food a little. That's when the treats come in, as Simon mentioned.

Gee, thank you, Patrick. You are making me blush ! Seriously though, my hubby and I have been in dogs a long time, and you learn a lot after all that time.

So Carole, trade talks are out of the question? Ha Thankfully I got a beauty to, wouldn't swap her for the World! unless someone has a Brett Lee straw, or a 1975 Monaro Gear/box!

I'd say. give her what she is used to in amount and food until ~ the half time of pregnancy. Then gradually add meat and high protein food until she whelps. She'll need a good lot more when the pups grow in her belly. A complete puppy dry food as basis may have all, she needs for the pups + what she needs for herself should be in her usual food. So up to how big/how many she gets, I'd add puppy food to her normal meal :)
