my black pups, 11 weeks old, are not as black as their mother, there's a brown tint to them. there's a great shine on their coat but not very black. what can I do? they're being fed a puppy nut, some fish, beef or chicken.

John, you could try increasing the quantity of beef that you are feeding them, as it has more iron, etc., which will help with the coat colour. Do they get any milk ?
You could also try giving them a very good vitamin/mineral supplement, which should overcome any shortcomings in their diet.
Just maybe they are always going to have a tinge to their coat, depending on their genes ?
