Hi all I have a concern about a toe injury. Back left leg, outside toe. Dog is limping occasionally and skin under the fur between the toes looks red. Not sure how to add a picture on here. Is there anyway to tell if it is broken or just sprained? Will probably get an xray too. Cheers

Is it swollen or painful when trying to palpate or bend the joint?

Papilloma, split webbing, bunged up toe, sandburn ?
Hi all I should specify this happened while running around the yard. She pulled up limping half way around the yard. Definitely an injury. Yes the outside toe on the rear left leg is swollen around the P1 - P2 joint area. The redness is on the inside of this area. She can walk but certain positions and amounts of weight make her limp. But she is mobile. I have trimmed the nail back a bit too. She is ok with me tapping it, but i think wriggling it will hurt her. I will let the vet do the wriggling.
Yeh mate. Noticeably swollen and sore when i play with it. But i can touch it And tap it a bit.
