I hope you don't mind me sharing a story of animal cruelty.

My son has a companion dog, he is a French Bulldog. Great little dog, but they are a terrible breed if you ask me. Breathing issues, spinal problems, can't even be born naturally have to have a C section, eye problems. They are a vets wet dream.

Josh came home and found the poor dog paralysed in the back legs. Rushed him to an Emergency Vet, $1000 later and they couldn't find anything. Recommended a $5000 Scan and possible surgery. I then suggested he goes to my country vet down near me. Another $400 spent for no firm diagnosis. I requested X-rays. But they were hesitant and refused to do any, suggesting to just let it settle and see what happens. In desperation I booked him into a Greyhound muscle man. Within minutes he found the dog had a badly dislocated hip. He manipulate the dog and put the hip back into place, cost $80. Two weeks later there was improvement, after the physio suggested. A few weeks on and the dog is back on his feet on the road to recovery.

If people are concerned about animal welfare, they should look at some of these human genetically engineered breeds with terrible health issues before pointing fingers at the Greyhounds.

Where are people really concerned about animal welfare? Look at the endless list of PET atrocities, going on everyday. They banged on about Rasmussen in Adelaide and 2 days later, in the same state, PET dogs got under the neighbours fence and mauled one pet to death and the other to near death. Wheres their outrage?

Its just the lunatic anti-racing agenda conveniently disregarding PET ownership and breeding as youve highlighted, simply because of their mantra we dont like it, so you cant do it. And joke senators and the like giving them air time.

Time to put these freaks back in their place.
