While this string was originally about Performance Enhancers so far it has only been about enhancing the health of the greyhound.

While I do agree wholeheartedly that this is still the best way to get the dog to perform at its natural best, there are still some legal substances that may enhance the performance of some older greyhounds, or those where the health may not be at an optimum level.

Such as:
L-Carnitine to improve the utilization of fatty acids
DADA 250 to dilate blood vessels and improve oxygen delivery (high dose B15)
Enerzyme to increase ATP & UTP (muscle energy & heart energy)
AMP 5 to increase ATP (muscle energy)
Creatine supplement used in conjunction with Coforta, again increasing available ATP
Tripart or Tridenosen to improve general muscle function & reduce the chance of tying up

If like I suspect you are inferring DADA 250 swabs Jack, I can tell you it does not, and I'm speaking from experience, and I know of others who have been swabbed as well!!!! There has never been a positive in greyhounds in Oz to my knowledge???

Ditto DADA 250 definitely doesn't test positive in a swab.....remember the old Russian B15 tablets back in the 70/80s, now they tested positive if my memory serves me.

All of the substances mentioned are designed to increase available energy and are therefore best give as a build up well before the dog races.

Such as:
2 days prior: 2ml of Tridenosen or Tripart injected into each back leg
Night before: 1 ml of DADA 250 injected into chest muscle + 2 ml of Coforta injected under the skin low on the neck + 2 grams of Creatine supplement in evening meal.

Used in that manner there is no chance of a positive swab and while all of this may not improve the dog a huge amount, it may assist in getting some dogs to the line.

as ive said before i give it to dogs who are in hard training,my 15 month old pup has been on it for last two weeks, when the dog was brought into kennels it loooked sorry for itself but ive been training this young dog , and only feed it red mills, and give it the metatone(2 tablespoons a day in the feed) and the dog is bouncing now ,coat is shining and found a massive amount of time compared to before it was on metatone.i was a bit spectical at first about using this on the dogs but as many young trainers should do is listen to people who have been in the game alot longer than themselves, listen and learn!!!, i did and its paying off for myself, all i can say is try it for yourself, what are you loosing? its only about 6 in the chemists!!!

no just on its own,the only thing i beleive also helps is regular worming, at every 7-8 weeks, leaving it to 3 months is just too long

Only problem is that many od these substances i.e. Tridenosen is illegal here.

They are not actually illegal William, its the fact that they do not have a product license and if you get caught impoting them you could be in trouble, the substances in Tridenosen are not illegal.
