I found it of considerable benefit for increasing stamina in racing greyhounds, and to delay the onset of muscle fatigue.

Because I was never comfortable injecting I.V. I generally injected 2ml into each back leg the night before racing.

It is also worthwhile when used after a hard run to aid recovery.

There is nothing in Tridenosen that could cause a positive swab.

Thanks Tom

No Paul afraid not. Friend of mine swears by it in aiding recovery. Hes importing it directly from Aus which is taking a chance because it isn't licensed product here unfortunately.

tom...trideneson or dynacleine?
and would creatine paste be of any benefit as it appears they all do similar things in blocking acid build ups.
also would it be useful in a dog recovering from an acidosis attack, and being prepared for another training program?

Tridenosen contains DADA and Selenium as well so it's pretty different to dynacleine (the phosphate compound is also different molecularly). Injecting any of these products (containing AMP or ATP) IV can cause the heart to beat irregularly and in extreme cases cardiac arrest. Tridenosen has to be injected (IV) very slowly, so unless you've got a real quiet dog who doesn't mind standing around go intramuscular.

Hi Daryl,

I have used both in the past, and have found Tridenosen did the job better!
In addition Dynacleine can be painful to inject unless it is mixed with B12 or B complex.

In regard to Creatine it can be added to the pre-race program in addition to Tridenosen, as it functions in a different manner.

There again I have found Enerzyme as good as any, because it not only contains ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) but also UTP (Uridine Triphosphate) which forms part of the energy used by both smooth and striated muscle tissue, including involuntary muscle tissue such as heart and lungs.

Just as important, this product does not appear to cause pain upon injecting, and can be used subcutaneously.

Hi Andrew,

This link also mentions an oral form of ATP (Tridenosen H) unfortunately other research articles on the net have thrown doubt on the ability of ATP to be absorbed orally, regardless of how it is prepared.

While an oral form of this product would be great, at this point in time Im unsure as to its effectiveness.

Tom

In relation to the cardiac arrest this is the result of anaphylactic shock, rare but recorded.

Problematic here, yet again an issue which highlights the ridiculous nature of drug licensing. This looks like a good medication but not licensed here so using it is very dodgy. Just down to the fact that the drug companies wont license it if they don't think they will sell enough of it..

Dr Linda Corney at Bowral has both. She is still doing Bulli and Dapto dogs at the moment so if you ring her if you're ever racing at Bulli or Dapto she'll probably take it to the dogs with her to give to you. YOu can try Ted Humphreys at Rossmore on Sunday morning. As you come out of King St on to Bringelly Rd (KIng St is the street the trial track's on, turn right (rather than left) and travel 2 or 3k's just past the shops and the school on the left you'll find Rossmore Vet surgery. Ted's a great greyhound vet, he is there on Sunday mornings.
