When I think of vitamin C, I think of snakebites.
I am sure that I have read previously about other experiences where vitamin C has made a difference when given immediately.
So the slowing down side of vitamin C may be true.
It is not something that I find important for a day to day for a dog.
I am sure if you go back to the previous threads on snakes, there will be references to vitamin C.
I tell you what if I see a snake, I know I am suppose to slow down, but I think my natural reaction will be to break a track record.
Easier said than done I suppose if you have a dog on a lead or in the same space.
I just make sure my hand lawnmower is really loud, and hope that they keep on moving on - if they decide to take a short cut through my place!
Think I should tuck in to those vitamin C tabs, yeah important for the adrenals, healthy adrenal function helps support the body's response to stress. Vit C helps with a healthy immune system and antioxidant support.
p.s. naturally the above makes me think of those other creatures out there - magpies trying to get me when I'm with my dogs, mossies attacking me and trying to annoy my dogs and of course being careful that we are snake free.
The last thing that is trying to eventuate are those damn grass seeds. When they dry out they are the pits, I am trying to get them all now that are trying to get in our way.
The sun is lovely but it comes with a price.
Vitamin D along with it but also a red nose if you don't do the right thing!

....and Potassium.
Only give it AFTER a run, never before (if at all).

Pete you Old Devil Dog .....
Welcome back and it has been very quiet lately without your wit and humour.
Vit C plays it's roll when in heavy work load or recovering from illness and Stud dogs like yourself Pete need a top up as well ..

What a load of rubbish, Brian Barrington was using vitamin C when he trained some of the best Greyhounds around and it certainly didn't slow his Dogs down.

Vitamin c is the master of all vitamins. I'm battling cancer and i have been told it is probably the most important singular supplement i could take . The body can't produce it or store it or function without it .vitamin c increases the levels of interferon in the body hence killing cancer cells.
Places in the world where oranges are produced have lower incidents of cancer . I would be supplementing with vitamin c in particular hesperidin for a whole stack of benefits.
