Here is the kennel testing we did go dogs in 9 different kennels. we had great results, but decided not to go ahead with our products because of such a bad name other products had. These products had Sodium citrate in them. No amount of sodium citrate is safe for your dog.

Jack tp state no amount of Sodium Citrate is safe is misleading, The major issue with Cramping is unbalanced Diet. Excess Sodium Chloride in Kibble. The Trainers who have changed to the Greyhound diet I recommend and use a Potassium Citrate based Kidney Flush resolve their Cramping issues instantly

Ok show me your kennel tests & vet tests of your product. Q why did the manufacturers of Recharge take sodium citrate out of their product. As I have stated before only fools would us products with SC in it.you might fool some people on here Not me.I don't want to engage with you.End of story.

Jack below is a list of foods that contain Sodium Citrate

1. It is found in gelatin mix, ice-cream, jams, sweets, milk powder, processed cheeses, carbonated beverages, and wine. Sodium Citrate is also used as an emulsifier for oils in the cheesemaking process. Sodium citrate allows cheese to melt without becoming greasy.

2. What natural foods have sodium citrate?
Acid, flavoring, chelating agent: Ice cream, sherbet, fruit drink, candy, carbonated beverages, instant potatoes. Citric acid is versatile, widely used, cheap, and safe. It is an important metabolite in virtually all living organisms and is especially abundant naturally in citrus fruits and berries.

3. What does sodium citrate do to your body?
SODIUM CITRATE; CITRIC ACID (SOE dee um SIT rate; SIT rik AS id) prevents and treats high acid levels in your body. It may also be used to help prevent gout or kidney stones, conditions caused by high uric acid levels. It works by decreasing the amount of acid in your body.

Put up your testing blood profile, kennel and DNA testing. There is a heap of posts on here about dogs who cramped, had acidosis, and struggled to get 350m, all because of products that had Sodium citrate. Carole Brown did hundreds of blood tests on dogs that had suffered cramps, dehydration, and acidosis, Kidney issues. Guess what all these dogs were on products that contained Sodium citrate. Yes. Surely you did testing or did you?

Jack a vast number of Trainers with Greyhounds cramping were supplementing Neutradex, A product for Horses
That product was used by many many Greyhound Trainers to the extent Virbac put a label on it for Greyhounds.
Sodium Acid Citrate is great for Horses as a Diuretic.
Potassium Citrate is the Diuretic for Greyhounds.
Dr Jim Gannon and Ross Mitchell brought out a product called AKM Alkanalising Kidney Mixture by Action Chemicals.
I was responsible for Rapidvite purchasing the Action Brand several years ago.
Rapidvite / Sykes Vet International sell the product today.
It is not Sodium Citrate that is the issue The issue is using a product with high levels of Sodium Citrate (meant for Horses).

However your point was that it shoulnt be in any Greyhound product.
Sodium Citrate is added to products for its Diuretic benefits, and as such it will be added in very small ratio. This small level will not be detrimental to Greyhounds

Given that Ice Cream contains Sodium Citrate it will be a brave or silly Trainer who decides to withdraw the Ice Cream treat from winning Greyhounds because it contains Sodium Citrate.
