This dog is without doubt one of the most impressive pups I have seen for a long time.

29.44 tonight at Wentworth Park is flying. Never heard of his sire in Australia before. Is he new here or am I out of touch?

Maybe yes you are ... Out of touch . ..His Sire has produced some very fast dogs in Australia from very few matings.

CLICK HERE his sire has been a top sire abroad for many years, I doubt if there are many H.B. litters here in Australia.

Kevin's quite right about Hondo Black. Some very good results from limited litters here in Australia.

And I've previously noticed some of his better offspring overseas have an Australian "flavour" to their pedigrees.

Considering hes only got 43 dogs of racing age in australia i think you could be forgiven for not knowing who he is! When there are hundreds of sires available for use 1 can slip through

Hondo Black has a huge Aussie influence with his top fifty dogs Anthony ..4800 registered dogs on Data ..

If Hooksy keeps going I feel he will be great value as a Stud dog .

You can even go further back than that Mark.

The female dam line traces back to one of the Wheelers foundation broods. It splits where he traces back to Oddnick a half sister to Dynabolt.

Interesting to me is primo uno's influence as a brood sire.
Has had some rockets.
Very fast winner from the doctors kennels yesterday at Bendigo from a primo uno bitch.

100% James

I reckon Hooksy will be a decent replacement for his sire

He is an absolute superstar in the making

I got a fast one out of him too a bitch that threw tier 3 dogs in her first litter. But i do things my own way and perhaps my rearer my pre-training my trainer got the best out of him or i got lucky and picked the best one in the litter.Mine tore a ligament in the shoulder at sandown and is unlikely too race again as he simply cant get around bends and he had just run 30.12 at the meadows so pretty dissapointed.Throws real big motors and hooksy seems to have bucked the trend beginning better than most of his progeny.

A Hondo Black pup on debut at a bit over 17 months old called QUARTERLAND NICK went within half a length of the Dundalk short Track Record yesterday, and he's out of a Top Honcho brood :
