Surely sanity prevailed... Got hammered and baulked in the catching pen... Vetted and found to be injured... Bit stiff being cautioned imo...

The dog got poleaxed and I think he thought the race was over you can see him looking around in the catching pen.

This dog is hard chasing he nearly fell or could have hit the outside fence. I thought if he had of got around the turn he would have been hard to beat.

Bit harsh IMO also....I've seen boxers walk to the wrong corner and footballers running with the opposition after hard knocks.
It was rough out there, I'd forgive him for that. Just hope he's OK. Wish he was in my kennel!!

Don't know what else the stewards could have done, he clearly turned around and had a look. I imagine if nothing was said, there would be questions asked as well.
Common sense wins, its only a warning after all.

Your right there was nothing else the stewards could have done. IMO the dog probably thought the race was over and he was in the catching pen you can see him looking back then realizing the dogs in front were still running..

This bloke will bounce back don't worry about that.

I think hes lucky there wasnt a dog within a couple lengths of him or he might have got a failure to chase ticket, ive seen them given for less! Hope he bounces back from that!

Ive seen plenty of dogs before him who have been clean belted at the first turn at many different tracks and none of them have stopped and had a look around, that being said each dog has its own mind and none of us mere humans will ever know why he did it! I hope for the connections sake he heals up quickly and is back on track as I get a thrill from a 5th grader running 6th at albion park over 395m let alone having a dog who can run the times this guy can!
