i was interested in finding a stayer so picked the Ebby Miss, Key to Eden and War Torn litters.
If it's a stayer you want i have 4 pups out of my bitch Midori Storm in the auction who won races from 500m - 720m at Sandown and The Meadows , there might be some stayers in the litter.
I have that litter marked in my catalogue but I doubt she will produce stayers particularly to the sire
you think so ?????
I'm hoping i have a stayer in my Jarvis Bale pup out of Storm's litter sister Midori Mai Tai that's going to Ziggy's to be broken in january

If anyones going to look today you would be mad not to think carefully about this litter. You think Are Jay Que is quick the fastest one fell first start and could be anything.

Was it a genuine sale Steve?
I thought they said on Sky 2 that it came down to two bidders the owner (buy back) and a genuine sale. I thought they said it would be bought back for $3k.
Well bred and nice looking bitch, but never thought I'd see a 5 month old pup go for that figure.

I think the owners wanting to buy it back pushed the price up, a couple of the others in the litter I saw go for around $7k.

Agree Glen...But he's got very nice breeding, & I mean very nice breeding & the dams first litter to the master (Brett Lee) looks nice.
What was the lowest LOT SOLD ????
I did see a NITRO BURST (I think) late in the day go for $1600. The handler look frustrated and was waving his hands about when the hammer was about to fall at $1400. It looked like (to me) that somebody had forgot to bid for him & he was screaming out instructions to a person that must have fallen asleep....or something similar.
From what I hear......over 1 MILLION DOLLARS of sales was surpass with around 40 lots to go.
Well done to club RICHMOND.

Great day but long & hot. I think if they have any more than 350 pups then they need to spread it out over 2 days.
Prices were about what I expected. Some well bred pups were not bid on b/c it was a buyback.
I sold 3 out the 4 I wanted to sell. If someone had put in one more bid the 4th bitch would have been sold.

Good day all in all We bid on some nice bitches but you needed deep pockets definitely paying big overs on pups for the chance at the auction series good example the sheika pups they couldn't get a bite on gd for 8k word was sold for less they were going for 10k plus today I can understand both sides with the buy backs but becomes a little disheartening when your bidding at 7k and owners step in offer 10k etc We got the impression just about everything well bred was being bought back at least in terms of bitches

No Steve i was the breeder of that pup my frustration was not that particular pup or its bidding, a person was supposed to have been taking them up onto the podium for me and another bitch which was intended to be purchased back (from an entirely different litter) was sold for its minimum fee of $1000 so understandably i was quite upset and on top of that prior incident i had to run and garb lot 360 in question after it had been left in the holding pens and been passed in so i was forced to both put lot 360 on the podium and bid from the podium at the same time while still seething about the previous debacle, while completely drained from the heat and confusion and a 4am start.
so you know i was the breeder before your post and if you want to attempt to try and cheap shot me its your choice, but i made the best of a a crappy situation and handled it as well as could be expected.

Well I was right then if that was you I was observing...as you say.
You looked very frustrated and it obviously showed.
It was just an observation from the vision on SKY 520 in between race meetings.
No need to apologies about the "CHEAP SHOT" comment...as you've understandably had a big day by the sounds of it.
