Newdown Heather coursed in Ballymena and Flag Star was Belfast based has a topic on GD all about him. He was a great coursing sire.

Michael you are not far from being correct, all three are the only dogs to have sired an English Derby winner, and an Irish Coursing Derby winner.

Thanks James near but not enough lol. Had my question ready so here goes. O.K. Guys and girls of course and while we wait for James answer to the last question. My owner was one the sport's greats but up to the time that I reached the Derby final he had not won it. I was a very versatile dog and would have won the Derby but broke my toe when in front. My owner did win the Derby with one of the greats, era 1945- 65. Versatile is put in there to give a clue.
Mugs.

Correct James and Anthony, Noel Purvis also owned Northern King who like Barrowside and Mile Bush went off favourite in the final won by Dunmore King.
