Initially your probably right but in my day 70s it was daytime meetings. Tuesday and Thursday arvo and Saturday mornings
Speedway was nights so lighting was there. Track opened 1930s
I got lots of memories at the Wick
My pals and I had a weekly schedule
Monday Harringay
Tuesday Romford
Wednesday Wembley or Girlfriend
Thursday Clapton
Friday West Ham
Saturday morning Hackney Wick or Girlfriend,
Saturday evening While City
Sunday Girlfriends

Mick the Miller was beaten in his last two match races. The one he got beat a short head in was by Altamatzin in Cardiff.
