Patrick, i would not put money on it, but I remember Floyd Amphlett writing years back, that the pups were reared at the nursing home she owned and was matron of at welldrake, in Yorkshire, she was the sister of Batt O' Keefe, on the night of the final she gave the trainer, Matt O' Donnell a letter not to be opened until after the final, that stated that win or lose that, Matt O' Donnell was to be the new owner.

Similar to yourself James I am not 100% sure, the only reason I said it, was at the time of Rockets fame I too had dealings with Peggy and was sure at the time I had commented on seen Rocket & Spirit prior to commencement of schooling and being informed of whom they were, having said that they could indeed have arrived late in their puppyhood....

I remember the letter to Matt at the time being spoken of throughout the entire doggy community...

Who am I?
Apart from Camira Flash, what other greyhound won the English Derby after finishing fourth in a heat only to go into the next round after the third place greyhound was disq for fighting.

Patrick, i was on a conference call today, with Jonathan Kay ( racing post ) Bob Gilling ( British Breeders Forum ) Floyd Amphelett ( Greyhound Star ) discussing the best British litter of the year award, and the best British Bred Dog of the year award, the Windy Millar x Hawks Dutchess litter was chosen, Take The Crown, was voted best British Bred.
I asked Floyd about Batties Rocket, he said he was whelped just outside York, but can not remember at what age the litter went to Ireland to reared and schooled.

Peter, you said that you thought that, Manx Treasure was British Bred, he was bred by Mr. John Guilford, whose address was given as Ballakaighen, Stud farm, Isle Of Man, but I would guess that he was whelped at the Kennels of Micky O' Sullivan, where his sire, Greenpark Fox stood at stud, Mr. Guilford was owner of both Greenpark Fox and Slaneyside Hare.

Charlie, I was also on Tapwatcher, at 14/1, it seems that he chose the wrong night to make a hash of the start,
He won, a 1st round qualifier, 28-65 ( 8-13f )
1st round proper 29-14 ( 8/11f )
2nd round proper 28-93 ( 2-1f )
3rd round proper 28-72 ( 11-10f ) beat Signal Spark 8/1
semi-final 28-93 ( 4-7f ) beat Slaneyside Speed 8-1
He also won a heat of the Pall Mall at Harringay

Think I was there for most of them James from the 2nd round onwards for sure

Are you referring to Future Cutlet in 1933?
