Another one might be a bit obscure but not back as far as 1930's or 40's.
In this White City Derby final, four of the six finalists were by the same sire, a fifth had the same grand sire as the 4 already mentioned. Grand sire is top line of course.

A question for Irish interests, a number of greyhounds ran in the Irish Derby final circa 1990 but even if they passed the post FIRST they could not pick winners prize money - WHY. Mugs.

O.K This was the first year that Kerry sponsored the Derby, the named it The Respond Irish Derby. The used a points system for the stake, heat winners were given points for each win. When the final was reached we had a situation where some dogs were so far back points wise that they could not win. The Other Toss spared blushes and it was a six dog final. The system was dropped after that.

bred by a former reporter of two IE papers, now racingmanager had a well known prefix in IE the dog in question won twice the biggest race on European continent and was runner up in a third one.

Wrong answer The sire was born 1990 and has more then 2000 offspring on GD
