Question.

I am a Sire.

I sired the FASTEST 457m MAIDEN winner around the now defunct Harold Park curcuit. Actually the 2 fastest Mdn winners.

No

Little Blade or his sire Temlee

Thinking probably Temlee and the 2 x fastest being Winifred Bale and possibly Billy Bale/Gwendoline Bale

Winifred Bale no.
Gwendalyn Bale won her mdn at Hpk in 26.62.
Billy Bale won his mdn at Hpk in 26.61.

I recall November Lilly was a very fast maiden winner, but can't think of another really fast maiden winner at HP Ungwilla Lad threw, General Jeff only ran 26.41 when he won his maiden

Good memory David. Ungwilla Lad is the answer.

November Lilly won her Mdn at Hpk on the 7/12/81 in 26.28.

Who is the other Ungwilla Lad pup?

Clue - He comes from the same theme as November Lilly & won the Bi-Annual Classic at Hpk, just same 6 weeks later after winning HIS mdn.

Cigar.

Both November Lilly & Dick's Gem are full-blood. Same sire but their dams are litter-sisters. How could it not work lol ---> CLICK HERE

Happy New Year David & those that have been participating ;-)

Steven,

In truth I really got Ungwilla Lad by default as I totally forgot about Dick's Gem and without your additional clue may still have been racking my brain to figure it out.

William (Bill) Timmins, from Lochinvar, was his trainer who also owned and trained the brilliant November's Babe, ironically I was thinking about just the "November" name as part of the theme, not the breeding aspect.

Interesting little bit of trivia, when November Lilly won her maiden a certain future staying superstar, the ill-fated National Lee, was in the race (finished 4th at 10/1).

Yes , likewise Steven, a Happy, healthy and prosperous New Year to all as well!

According to Greyhound Data the dog was Leaders Jester

CLICK HERE
However, I was contacted by a legendary trainer in Victoria who set me straight and told me the dog was born and bred there by Bob Jeffries

A bit more research would indicate that his imported father Leaders Champion was actually the English Collar winner and not his son Leaders Jester who was a great stayer of his time in Victroia

Graham,
Just been released from the nick, missed ye all no end.
Sandra,
Your trainer friend is right it appears, Leaders Champion's last pups registered here were in July 1976. Coursing buffs might be interested - Leaders dam Little Glamour came very close to foiling the famous "Heather" treble in the Oaks Final 1969 @ Clonmel.

Don't know Old Berry Hermes best son, worst still I am messing up.
The bitch that contested the final of 1969 Coursing Oaks was Little Glamour - CLICK HERE As the Base correctly shows Little Leader was dam of Leaders Champion, sorry guys.
