Without stating the obvious, if you aren't using Fernando Bale as a sire for your brood, you are doing yourself a disservice. I haven't seen a sire so dominant for well over a decade.
Every time I scroll through city and group stats his name crops up time and time again. If I see a hot pup or the next big thing inevitably it's a son or daughter of this incredible sire.
I'm completely in awe of him. Beautiful to watch. I love the way his progeny like himself have that incredible desire to cross to the lead at the first turn.
At $6600 he is the best value sire by the length of the straight.

Paul have you bred , reared, brokein, pretrained a litter of FB'?

I haven't trained or reared for over a decade and haven't owned for 5 years. I heard they can be a challenge, but you don't worry about that when they can gallop.

Hi Dixie.

I agree. The dominance regarding the racing progeny of Fernando has been totally overwhelming...but if you look at the overall picture and include the 'Whelping Statistic's" in that sentence.....IT WOULD WANT TO BE.

I know he's had a huge number of bitches and the cream of the crop. But his dominance is overwhelming.

When you aren't training or rearing, those negative traits as important as how fast they are. Lol

If somebody came up to you a said, "Over the last 6 month I've noticed you've won half-a-dozen raffles to everybody else's 1. What's your secret?"

Your answer, "It's simple....Out of 100 tickets sold, I buy 14. That gives me a 1 in 7 chance of winning"

And that's the percentage of litters FB had in 2018 compared to the rest of the pool. FULL BOOKS & that's why it's overwhelming.

Annual litters have also halved since 2015 & the gene-pool is shrinking as we speak.

We all know about their traits, they are well documented but what also has to be remembered is that he sired a lot of Group and City winners from relatively low numbers early in the peace, but what he received was quality

Stud Book

Vol 64 he had 82 litters
Vol 65 he had 49 litters

On the back of the success of those two crops

Vol 66 he had 170 litters
Vol 67 he had 231 litters (current crop)

I think its fair to say he has deserved his full books

How many track records broken by Fernando Bale offspring?
How does it compare with say Barcia offspring?

Despite well documented negatives F Bale is simply irresistible to majority of breeders.

It understandably is Dixie, but if we look at the breakdown of Fb pups in those 9 races, you can see why.

30 of the 72 starters were Fb pups.

The remaining 3 races were more fairly judged with only 1 Fb dog in each event. None of them won.

Nothing new there Steve !
Champion Sires get the most and best Bitches, end result being a lot more pups than most sires racing.
Aussie Breeders have voted in droves that FB is our champion sire !!!!

So he's way ahead on percentages, a great effort.

The very fact he had so many starters at the worlds best greyhound track also speaks volumes.

You can say that again Paul. 41% of runners in 9 races. How could he lose?

I did a check recently and worked out 1 in every 8 pups of racing age is by Fernando Bale.
