I did a check recently and worked out 1 in every 8 pups of racing age is by Fernando Bale.
Vol 66 of Stud Book he had 10.4% of all litters born
Vol 67 of Stud Book he had 13.1% of all litters born
Average of last 2 crops racing is 11.75%
One out of 8 pups racing = 12.5%
Statistically, that's running pretty true to form

I find it amusing that a lot of the people who claim FBs success is because of the high quality of the broods he's getting, yet those very same people claim it's all about the breeding not their ability when selecting a potential brood bitch.

Bad kennel dogs, terrible barkers, too small, over rated, fee too expensive

I think that Fernando is so good that breeders expect every litter by him to be good !!!! History tells us that even champion sires can throw a litter of slugs.

Being devoid of both Brett Lee and Malawis Prince makes him very potent for the abundance of that blood! The gears Lakeview Walter showed were superb to watch!!!

Like most finals boxes win races, especially with young/inexperienced dogs. He deserves a lot of credit for having 4 finalists, but they drew boxes 1, 2, 3 and 4, Fernando bale progeny by default were always going to be in the finish

Fair enough, I'll just add that to the list
Bad kennel dogs, terrible barkers, too small, over rated, fee too expensive, he has sssooo many pups on the ground, pups only win because they get good box draws
Silver Chief Trifecta

Bad kennel dogs, terrible barkers, too small, over rated, fee too expensive, he has sssooo many pups on the ground, pups only win because they get good box draws, difficult to break in, suspect chasers, only gets the best brood bitches, he has undefined "chinks in his armour" apparently, Cryptorchidism, he has a "dark cloud" over him, his male pups are better than his bitches

*Bad kennel dogs: can be *Terrible barkers: nah not really *Too small: if you're breeding with a 25kg broodie you wouldn't go to any 29-30kg sire, if you do you're asking for trouble *Overrated: if you get poke the bears litter no, if you don't chances are you're gonna think so *Fee too expensive: no one wants to pay $6600 for a sire *He has so many pups: weight in numbers does help *Pups only win because they get good boxes: last night in the silver chief where they're all young similar ability dogs it helped, but obviously they can win from any box *Difficult to break in: can be a bit standoffish, but if they're reared right they're no problem *Suspect chasers: like any sires pups it's gonna be a mixed bag *Only gets the best broodies: no sire can throw superstars out of 1 win from 45 starts broodies. He does get his share of good broodies, but there's a reason for that *Undefined chinks in his armour: if you breed with a 30kg city winning broodie then rear them right chances are any sire will produce. If you breed with a unrraced because the broodie was 22kg and too slow no sire can fix that

Nah I'm not too worried about Dixies opinion, I'll have some fun and keep things going for a little bit longer. Fernando bale has good and bad qualities, just unfortunately Dixie will only see the good aspects for the next 12-18 months until he gets burnt by owning one of his pups
And I'm aware you're gonna be a Fernando bale fan for obvious reasons Terry
But to keep things going I'll add to Dixies list 9/10 are born without nuts
