Not saying they have to be done on track but using a draw machine similar to Tattslotto with video footage .
Im sure people would be happier seeing the numbers coming out than the current system>

I think alot would agree Ken. it used to be done here in SA but they claim it takes too long now, GRV beam theirs on you tube. The biggest problem is grouping of names. Which make the majority of owners and trainers smell a rat in this system. And constant squeeze boxes that most get. Which people are getting raw deals. I don't care what anyone tells me to get 6x6s drawn in a row with a system that I have constantly been told has no memory, doesn't rub with me.And alot have similar stories. It's the lack of info about where this software was devised and track history in fielding races, and vague audits. And most authorities in each state are not accountable to a commissioner or gov dept in their running which could be open slather for corruption to take hold. Tom totally disagrees but we never thought NSW trots and horse racing could, but look at what they un-covered. Dogs aren't exempt

Terrible system. Same thing is happening here in W.A the same dogs draw the same boxes 4 of my dogs drew box 6 3 weeks in a row the odds of that happening is nearly impossible and another has had 29 starts and never had box 1!!!!!! definitely needs revising

Helen try 6 6s in a row the odds are even higher, could you tell me. In WA are you's getting initials of trainers grouped or surnames. Coz that seems to be the moto. SA tells me WA insisted an audit and that SA have joined in with WA for that audit and WA gov requested a finding of that audit by the end of march, have there been any posts or media releases on it.Coz there's nothing on ours, Maybe a phantom one like this software.

for another example of how soft/hard ware can fail despite many mths of pre testing, look at the new Apple Watch. It will not work on people whose wrist is tattooed.

EXTERNAL LINK
The Oz Chase box draw system needs to be audited, with the guide lines of the audit and the results made public. Without this happening there will continue to be NO FAITH in the box draw system by trainers/punters/owners.

I was just looking through the three Wenty meetings over the weekend/Monday. Jodie Lord is in 7 races were another trainer also has the first initial J, of them 7 races, 6 of them are boxed next to Jodie. What are the chances of that?

rhys, that is what I have put to GRNSW, the occurance of this happening is way, way greater than a random %.

check out the double ups of trainers initials at Richmond, 9 May. Have a look at the J's. apart from a couple of doubles there are a couple of triples as well

J appears to be the most common double up. Not sure if there are more J initials than other letters.

Tom GRNSW is not going to listen just like SA, I reckon it has to go higher to a Racing Minister or 4 Corners. Queensland Gov has now stepped in there. Vic Gov there. Control needs to be taken away from state authorities and placed to an over see-ing body or person .The so called bug is causing unfair draws, and unfair ratio of boxes drawn, ratios of no box 1 in 30 plus starts for some dogs. The ratio should be 1 in 12 or 13. Go back to balls, live. computers are not the answer to all our prayers,we know that.A computer glitch could leave you penniless. And i'm not going there.

J is always at the forefront of trainers getting doubled up together.

Tom with all the negative stuff going on in dogs you would reckon they would wanna fix it, BUT NO.Go to media that's all that's left otherwise we are stuck with it for good. I've been to state body, been to GOV, been to opposition all deaf ears last option is MEDIA. We all reckon MEDIA is the worse but where did these stories cause the biggest stir and action MEDIA!!!!

Dino, GRNSW has told me my emails have been passed on and an audit, taking a few mths, is underway.

I have asked if the results will be made public.

Tom, what would be the odds of drawing box 7 then after the race was re-drawn coming up with box 7 again?

My mate has 2 dogs racing and one has drawn 4,4,7,7,7,6. And the other 7,7,7,4,4,7,6,4.
Definitely something wrong with the system.

the same chance of coming up with box 7 in the first place (1 in 8). Your last box doesn't determine the chances of getting a different box at its next start.

Mick do you mind me asking what your mates initials are? Just curious as my trainer in his last 11 starts has only drawn the 4 or 7 box
