Deb/Brett,

There appears to be a trend with some people to get on here and "rubbish" certain stud dogs. Ignore them and enjoy the ride.
Fergus will not disappoint connections with his current and future strike rate. Some group wins from some of his progeny are just around the corner. Good luck with him!

Yes Tony so true I would love to have a maiden run impressive sections all round as Manager Said did yesterday which compared to a dog like Banjo Shark who has won countless races. He is very cheap compared to what he might throw his Damline is supreme also.He caught my eye for sure.

Have to agree Matt as I have a litter being reared and they are the most outgoing pups I have ever had. They are only just on 4 month now and you can do anything with them.Hay Fergus x Martam Gold. They will get every chance as they will be/are being reared on the best.

Dont worry Robert , you will and it wont be too much of a wait either. Anyone who doesnt snap up a straw to a freakish son of BL without even mentioning the dam line at that price has too much too think about. Im no connection to the dog and dont care if you dont buy a straw but Im sure this dog will go past Magic Sprite who is a great sire and one of only a handful of BL sires available. JMO Cheers

He has all the attributes to make it - lines on both side chase and sectionals. Would be great to see some proven Broodes to sons of Brett let go to him-

Dams sires by BB Shiraz, premier fantasy and surf Lorain lines will create interest as proven clicks

Hay Fergus gets his first race quinella today at Goulburn. Charlie Grappa (x Grappa Girl) wins very impressively as $1.40 favourite. Runs right off the track on home turn, still wins by 5 in good time. Durama Missile (x Moonshne Tayla) runs 2nd.

The Grappa Girl litter is looking very promising with Manager Said winning 3 from 3.

Even Profit ( x Moonshine Taylah) wins impressively at first race start today at Bathurst running 17.88. Congratulations to breeder/trainer Stephen Cleary. Thank you for showing faith in Hay Fergus.

Re banner ad for Hay Fergus on GD.
Breeders please note as of 1/12/18 the stud fee for Hay Fergus increased to $1650.
I hope this now comes to the attention of the GD team as I have made several attempts to have this changed in the banner ad all to no avail. Apologies for the confusion to those that have contacted to buy a straw, but the price is definitely $1650.

Sounds stupid, but it's probably the right move. He's already proven to throw capable pups and a lot of sires don't get services if they're advertised too cheap. Once their price rises so does their amount of services

Firstly Rob, my latest thread was not about the price. It was about getting GD admin to change the price on the banner ad as private messaging them has not worked.
Secondly what has Banjo Boy got to do with anything. Please dont make comparisons with his progeny compared to Hay Fergus. Any one in their right mind can see the quality of broodies he has received in comparison with Fergus. Do me a favour and research the bitches that Fergus has received and you will see that they dont have a history of producing. The fact that Hay Fergus has been able to achieve 40 race winners from those bitches is outstanding. Remember, its the brood bitch that makes a stud dog. If the bitch is a non producer she wont produce to anything and if she is a good producer she will produce to a whippet.
And to the breeders of those bitches that Fergus has met I mean absolutely no disrespect.

Numerous Broods who's previous litter / litters had failed produced the goods when mated to Token Prince !!!

I haven't had any Fergus pups, but have a couple of mates that do. To say that he hasn't had any decent broodies is very disrespectful because people don't breed if they think there wasn't good traits that their broodie can thrown into the pups.

I've always stuck up for hay Fergus because he's a lesser used stud dog trying to gain some services off the big names and admittedly he does thrown a big confident pup, but seeing you have no problem blaming the broodies and mentioning it's a outstanding effort to even get a winner, I'll mention how hard they are to get going. I know this is obviously all the broodies fault because Hay Fergus was a superstar for his 1st 4 starts before he failed to finish "injured"

The best way to contact the team so that the right person can handle any requests is to email [email protected] When you did this Deborah you got results.

Just mated, This girl was a very fast before injury hit and she missed 8 months of racing. Do take the time to see her last 2 wins and the motor see had still after injury. Hay Fergus was a very easy selection for want my girl needed.
