After a few seasonal problems, Maja Mahi Mahi qualifies today as the fastest, for next weeks Group 2 BLACK TOP Final at The Gardens.
After 7 heats, Triple M flew the lids from box 4 & won by 4 1/2 lenghts running a flying 29.39, in the last heat.
Would love to see this bitch draw the 1 or 8....but can win from any box.

Just got home from visiting my Spring Guns at Chevy Lodge, they look great and the GUN does throw a very nice type.

Great wins, did you breed her Steve?

No Ray....but I did breed the mother April's Legacy (El Galo x Hearts War) as you'd probably know. The owner Ty did ask me what I thought of the Spring Gun mating. I said SG (at the time) was a new "sire on the block", but he's by Bombastic Shiraz & has a nice RAZ-cross of Sobbing Sal thru BDC....So if you like it, go for it.
It has produced a very nice bitch and another Group performer for the very speedy HEARTS WAR / HEART SPARK damline.

The training skills of Charlie and Lisa Lamb are unquestionably superb, when those that "know" that MAJA MAHI MAHI, simplistically was in strife and not going well not long ago, but Charlie and Lisa resurrected her and WOW what a great racing greyhound - BTW Charlie was tipping her a good thing all night prior to her heat, but off course few listened!

Maja Mahi Mahi wins the Group ONE Sapphire Classic.
Congrats to the trainer ASHLEE TERRY and the fellows from the Syndicate.
That's the second Group One winner this year from the brilliantly bred grand-dam HEARTS WAR, who I had a lots of fun with....and now others are too ;-)

Was a super training effort, Maja Mahi Mahi showed real grit with some quality chasers pouring on the pressure.

The other group winner which is Big Dadddy Bee is in at Grafton on Monday over 610m as he attempts to qualify for the ladbrokes challenge over 720 Wenty.. He got within 2 lengths of Soviet Missiles track record at Dubbo over 600m then went 4.1/2 off Sandburners record Bathurst at his 1st 700m, looks like there is another City of Sydney from the gun breed. He will wrap around Wenty 720m with his ability to rail so well, looking forward to what he can do over the distance in the next 6-12 months. I reckon he can be a 42.00 dog Wenty.
