The proposal to have 20 tracks (down from 34) and breeding only 2000 per year (including dogs going interstate) equates to
20 (tracks) x 100 dogs (10 races per meeting) = 2000 dogs per week . So, we might end up with four and six dog race fields if we can't get the dogs to race under the proposed scheme that is being considered by the Alliance ? . In the meantime, the T'Breds are racing more than ever with Pakenham Night Meeting on Thursday, MV and the Sunshine Coast Meetings on Friday Night. . We are fighting two battles here. . I can't tell you what to do with your monies, but I wouldn't go betting on the T'Breds and Harness. Dougy was saving $200 per week by not betting on them. Well done to him ! I would prefer a 1/8 chance of winning than a 1/16 or 1/24 every day of the week. . If it is prize money that one is chasing then, I've been an advocate for flattening the top and spreading it laterally for many years. They would still come if it were $50k to $100k per G1 Race.

Crucially, the panels report recommends changes to the funding arrangements currently in place for the NSW greyhound racing industry to support the additional welfare, integrity and operational costs that will be required. This includes amending the Inter-Code Deed and revisiting the distribution of tax harmonisation revenues between the three codes of racing in NSW. . So, the Coalition doesn't want to change the Inter-Code Agreement. Instead, wants the three codes to consult with one another first. .
This had me thinking ! Have we as an industry actually had formal and documented meetings with the other two codes about this very same matter ? If we have and the three codes haven't agree then, we should continue to apply the pressure on the Gov't to change it. Let's make it an election issue.

The Panels Report does not address prize money increases or welfare of participants. There is no remorse over the pain and suffering caused by the governments disgraceful conduct and still no serious attempt to help those affected, physically, mentally or financially.
