We had a great chance with Warren Wilson, but he was told he was over-qualified. Wtf ? So, the government employs two at great cost. Then, they go around the countryside and ask some participants about the industry and are now collating their findings. Theyll probably have a few meetings and a survey.

Administration and abandoned meetings are starving the industry. Theyre right, theyve found another way for us to become insolvent.

I heard Brian Barrington has been assisting at TG after remedial work proved unsatisfactory. I heard GRNSW went for some cheaper sand instead of bungendore. So, a couple of issues on top of some other issues.

Are they going to trial before racing ?

Nope, BB hasnt been assisting. He was going to be asked to help, but is elsewhere. Hes unavailable. Meanwhile, Mr Wilson will be up there on Monday and its unknown when the work will be completed.

It appears GRNSW (you n I) hasnt even been receiving rent from The Gardens, even before the construction works commenced. Its a clever lease arrangement if its true.

Have any of you people realised, that with Gosford so suspect
every time it rains, The Gardens not available in the near
future it seems, now Maitland is supposed to be ripped up,
and reset, while the local show is on.
That's three tracks where we are unable to trial, if that is
progress, then somebody should immediately be seriously sacked.
It won't be long before this Circus, too, is unable to operate.
Rumours abound, that second rate sand, is being purchased from
a close relative of a higher being in the GRNSW debacle!
If so, is this not insider trading!

It makes a mockery of the Hunter Region but affects the Mid-North Coast n N/W Region to some extent (but they have TAB now-funny that, yet MNC doesnt). They dont need to go around the countryside to figure out that the same problems keep on popping up in the same places !

Another urgent talk with the GBOTA. Impose fines and costs associated with abandoned meetings and/or find someone who can do the job consistently right.

It was four days between a good track and an abandoned track. It seems to me it wasnt the fault of the weather or was it ? I dont think you can blame the good weather on this occasion.

Mark ,there is more behind these race day cancellations, as you say you can trial on a track a couple of days before racing and all is fine yet for some mysterious reason a couple of days later. no bloody rain ,no hail . no wind.no power failure and for reasons only known to the ELITE , meetings get cancelled reason given, TRACK NOT SAFE FOR RACING,WHO ARE THE EXPERTS CALLING THE SHOTS.
Are any of our top trainers ever asked for advice before the decision is made , I bet not, Jockeys walk the track on race day and they have a major input as to how safe a track is for racing ,then why aren't trainers allowed to have some say in decision making when it comes to greyhounds.NO. BECAUSE WE ARE THE MUGS THAT KEEP ACTING LIKE SHEEP AND DEMAND NOTHING, WE DO NOT DESERVE ANY BETTER TREATMENT UNTIL WE LET THE BASTARDS KNOW ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,

Mark. Integrity and pride do not help when you have nothing left to be proud of.

We in the Nth. Rivers have been Shafted by GRNSW, Casino have lost 5 meetings, another 12 have been down/graded to TAB C status, Lismore have had 12 meetings also downgraded to TAB C. That's half TAB B Prizemoney! That equates to 17 TAB B meetings COMPLETLY LOST
Sorry, we have been fortunate to win approval for extra NON/TAB class D meetings. ($270 a win)
Grafton have now 12 TAB B meetings, where is the rest going???
Casino had 8 races yesterday (Programmed for 12)no reserves! worst fields in years. Lismore no different last Tuesday (Terrible Standard) What are the PTB going to do? (Sorry it's been programmed, i'm guessing) Then we have 85 Dogs from the Nth. Rivers racing in QLD this week? Why? QLD class C pay $1225 a win, NSW $650 a win! and QLD $40 per dog T/A.
I was prepared to give Mr. Mestrov & Brown my backing for a few months, however that's waning by the day. Wenty, Gosford fiasco are not being addressed, no statement on Breeding incentives, Grading improvemets, Prizemonies, Tracks (Closing, Opening) upgrades, Improvements, anything guys, we all suffer the same ailments! Under Newson we were bombarded daily with changes ( Mostly Detrimental to racing)However HOW LONG before we hear anything? QLD & VIC are leaving us eating dust!
BTW. Ron did you attend the Gardens Meeting? Your thoughts mate!

Thanks Tezza, all is well, just had to check the plumbing!
No success with our on line suggestions apparently!
Seems as every new bunch, toss out previous ideas, and try to
implement things of no interest.
It's a case of bad and rude ignorance, of those that feed their wallets.
Fair dinkum, it's like being chained to a pack of bloody ghosts!

With no rent and massive costs to it, The Gardens has to be called a lemon. I didnt like the idea of owning it in the first place. The regulator / owner has a direct conflict of interest.

The GBOTA chairman once told me, when his Association was the caretaker, the place / joint could make money. However, the lessee (not GBOTA) made mistakes from the beginning, cost the participants and its still costing us because there is no return.
.
Meahwhile, an ACT Liberal, along with a Canberra GRC, NGRU and NSW Greyhound Racing Alliance Rep met with the NSW Deputy Premier, John Barilaro (National Party) obviously to discuss greyhounds. Its the same Alliance who walked alongside participants, ALP and SFF Reps to Can The Ban. It was the same LIB/NAT that originally chose to close down the Industry.

Do we ever get a chance to see the Minutes of Meetings after our Board sits ? After all, the previous Board must have approved the purchase of the Pet Motel and The Gardens. We need to know what they are doing ?

Anyone know how Wenty went last night ?

Now i know that there are a lot of extra jobs been created in the GRNSW bunker but does anyone know if Barnaby Joyce had any thing to do with it and is it true that Miss Campion was offered one but knocked it back?

Word is, with thirteen months to go before the next NSW State Election, someone is going to create a bush series for the battlers so it appears that non-TAB country racing is being catered for and supported.
