Houdini boy - wonder what it trials. Fair win despite the box one voodoo and sitting in there for too long . Just saw two posts ago comment about coming out last. Might be the dog. Sections amazing

Thanks Hayden I enjoyed the read. I am not convinced about 700m will have to sustain a huge run if he is giving the best dogs a handy start remembering he is still going through the grades. Time will tell. Enormous motor. Hope the team get him Jumping better soon.

I enquired about using brockie on my bitch today but was advised that terms and conditions changed depending on the vet chosen for the insemiination. My chosen vet is not on the list of stud masters (owners) list of preferred vets So what? You say. If I want to use my vet and nil pups result I Dont get a return service thats right I dont get a return service but if I choose the stud masters (owners) preferred vet I do get a return service. Im not sure that this is in the best interest of the industry. Or breeders freedoms to choose. if the breeding industry has a conscience collective we should black ban these stud masters and owners

Great night at Sale Houdini boy showing his chase and class over the 650 to win Sale cup and Zambora Smokey in 24:47 festival sprint race. As a sire he has had a huge amount of matings this year 21-22 will be very interesting to see what he throws.

For a $5500 sire, he's been rather quiet lately.....But he's had full books this year so I gather that will change due to numbers.

Only had 14 bitches between 1 July 2018 to 20 June 2019
It will change dramatically in the next 6 to 12 months

Its funny Sandro. I was chatting to a fellow yesterday who said brockie likes like he has fizzled. Everyone wondering where his pups are.
He quoted 900 pups 18 to 24 months of age yet none racing where are they. So I took a look. So I checked litters from April 14 2019 to October 14 2019 (18 to 24 months).
He has 11 litters 18 to 24 months of age and 65 pups only not 900.
His big numbers started from November 19 so the oldest of them now about 17 months.
Reckon once we hit august / September is when you would expect to see them really pushing through.
No reason to believe he wont continue from his first crop at this stage for me.
Wonder if he is still busy at 5500$ might have been a bit premature. $3300 I get. Plenty of comp at the top end.
Pretty soon, he won't be forgotten about if numbers are any indication
It will be the same with Aussie Infrared and any other sire who gets a moderate number of bitches up front that throw some really nice pups in those early numbers.
Those early breeders are the ones who are willing to take a risk on an unproven sire to diversify their lines.
There is usually a 8-12 month gap before the second wave hits when the breeders who follow the leaders take a liking to the dog.
He only started off with a steady number of bitches up to July 2019
Then only 2 litters between July 10 - Dec 19
Since Dec 2019 its been pretty solid with bookings so like Zambora Brockie there should be a very decent second wave.
As far as price is concerned that is their business, if you really want the dog, pay it otherwise go elsewhere, there are plenty of options around now

This next crop of ZB's are really hitting their straps. Lacking early pace, but chase their bums off and can run time when given a clear run.
