These guys are fighting for us, here's a little snippet from last year:
The Hon. ROBERT BORSAK: What is evident to anyone who has seriously looked at the trends in wagering is that the whole industry is under attack from competition in the wagering space. What is also evident from the statistics I have been watching is that the major code, thoroughbred racing, is in decline as a proportion of all wagering in the TAB poolthis, despite the fact that it currently gets an annual subsidy from the greyhound racing industry alone of approximately $15 million a year. In other words, it is being propped up in its so-called economic significance by leaning on the other codes, most of all on greyhound racing. This subsidy was set up under a revenue distribution agreement [RDA] and agreed to by the parties in the inter-code agreement, forced on them by the Government of the day some 15 years ago, for a period of 99 years, and with no review or adjustment. In a word, this is outrageous!
Dr JOHN KAYE: Three or four years ago The Greens would probably have supported the arguments put forward by the Shooters and Fishers Party. We would have seen as inequitable the distribution of money in a way that does not reflect the needs of the industry. Clearly, the thoroughbred racing code is the wealthiest code; it does very well in drawing in wealth. In fact, its total value added to New South Wales is about $2.6 billion a year. It is already doing well and the amount of money added will not make that much difference. It will make Peter V'landys and the elite hierarchy happy but it will not do much to add to State value. In contrast, it is true that many of the participants in the greyhound racing industry are not wealthy and come from working-class backgrounds, and the code itself is impoverished. On that basis alone one would support what the Shooters and Fishers Party is saying, but The Greens have come to the conclusion that there is no future for greyhound racing in Australia.

I did and let the three green tossers who were handing out how too vote forms know there untruthful bias doesn't sit well in rural Australia.

Ok I voted for the cyclist party Derryn Hinch Pauline hanson and the sex party because where would we all be without the sex party ..
One thing i find weird is that when i was 18 we still used the same way to vote with a big A$$ piece of paper and why would they invent a simple app on your phone to vote using your medicare card ... Just saying i think someone needs to come up with a simpler form of Voting ...
I believe we need to organise our own Poli to stand solely on Greyhound Racing at our next elections ....
I have compiled a list of suitable Candidates from the members on Data .
Ryan V ... should consider it because everyone he speaks too will be so confused they will vote for him regardless if he is telling us the sky is falling down or not .
JQ Now this bloke can pump his own ego up and that's a bloody positive to have as our elected Poli and he is cashed up after his dogs keep winning
MG Well this bloke can cut the mustard with the best of them and he has been around the rodeo circuit for years so his input would be highly regarded .
SOD Now he might not be the tallest is stacha but he makes up for it with his Mouth and who doesn't love the class clown and silly man so he gets my vote
My Vote has to go to the best bareback rider and cattle baron JC and this guy gets the job done from the rear end out and he takes no prisoners along the way so in summery i would consider voting for anyone of the above ..
I would be very interested to hear other people's thoughts and or idea's
Good. I hope everyone on here gave them their vote. I doubt it & if they didn't then they'll have no right to whinge abt no representation through the pollies

Yes we do need our own poli Kev. Fair dinkum if the cyclists can get a party organised, surely we could manage it. Forget about me being the one, too many little indiscretions as a juvenile, the smear campaign would ruin us all.....

I like your theme JQ it's makes me think green but lets not forget the penalty yet for us and our greyhound pets . More is to come i'm happy to say so maybe one day we can live the dream and have our say and when that time comes many will say thank Fark I had my say and i helped save the day .

The Greyhound machine is missing one cog... or should I say was missing! That cog being a lobby/advocacy group, one that can be loud and proud, one that can get in the face of our real enemies without fear, and one that has the fangs to inject some venom into these activists and anti-racing groups!
Together with our regulators and various associations, we can win over the decision makers, and also educate the public... if we don't, then the AR propaganda machine will march on our graves!
