SIS ties up a five-year deal with Irish board By Jim Cremin 5:43PM 10 JUL 2016
SIS has reached an exclusive five-year-deal with the Irish Greyhound Board to collect and distribute greyhound racing content to online and retail betting operators. It also includes international streaming rights.
It means the Mullingar (Sunday), Youghal (Monday) and Tralee (Tuesday) service to a number of shops will continue.
Gordon Bissett, SIS greyhound operations manager, said: Over the last five months we have worked extremely hard with the IGB and our customers to create a consistent and reliable betting product from Irish greyhound racing tracks.
Were excited about working together to grow Irish greyhound racing both in our core domestic market and into new territories."
Fantastic news for the tracks concerned. Well done to all involved. A lot of hard work has went into making this happen.

Hi Barry, I get alot of my greyhound news from this site and wondered if you could expand on why this is great news for the tracks involved. Would you know the sums involved at all and whether money received can be used by the specific tracks or if it goes into the central IGB pot. I would also be interested as to whether the runners at these tracks will receive enhanced prize money. I still find it strange that any punter would feel confident betting on a product that continues to only publish results of drugs enquiries as, or indeed, when or if it feels like it.
Chris, IGNORE this news until The owners & Trainers receive more details about "What its actully worth" to the Man & woman who keep the industry going.
The Youghal track was struggling big time, down on its knees. This deal gives security to the track. Also, unplaced greyhounds receiving unplaced prizemoney. Also bookmakers on track betting to strong percentages, 10-1 winner at the track last Monday night in an A4 contest, where would ya get it? The best thing that ever happened the Youghal track. Fantastic work done within the track and the IGB to make this happen. Onwards and upwards..

The only bad thing with SIS is there is only 525y races available so if you have a stayer its a problem otherwise im really happy out with SIS racing in Youghal. I was near give up greyhound racing but got renewed my enjoyment with racing in Youghal. The grading is top class and exciting to watch the races even though its tough sometimes to see my dogs get beat with very little:-) Well done to all working at Youghal track.....
