Sadly on Monday March 23rd Longford Greyhound Stadium will hold it's last race meeting. Unfortunately in accordance with IGB guidelines No public admissions other than one person, one dog admissions will be permitted. This policy will be strictly enforced. A sad end to our great track but hopefully when the current crisis is over we can all come together in happier times to celebrate the great times we all shared there. Thanks to everyone who has supported us over the years. A final unofficial trial session will take place on Saturday morning.
Well said Tina, a very sad day Longford Track will host its last card for racing for 2020, its with a heavy heart that I will race in the track for the last time, I would like to thank Paddy and all the staff for all that they have done, I would also like to thank all of the people who supported the track with donations and well wishes, you all have been amazing, here hoping when life gets back to normal that we will all meet in other tracks around the country, I have made some great friends through the track in Longford, all the chats at the wall and in the hut. Take care everyone, and thanks again will see you all soon, Noel Costello
Well said! With my African Queen racking up 15 wins at Longford I have been hooked since 15 years - basically since we moved here from Australia. .. so very sad to see its finished but we have seen it all before in Victoria
