A COMMITTEE MEETING TOOK PLACE LAST NIGHT AND LOTS OF IDEAS WERE SHARED, A NUMBER OF SPONSORS ARE WAITING IN THE WINGS AND WHAT WAS DECIDED WAS THAT PEOPLE WHO WANT TO JOIN HAVE UNTIL THE END OF OCTOBER AND THE BOOK ON MEMBERSHIP WILL BE CLOSED WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
MORE MEMBERS ARE JOINING BY THE WEEK [158] UP TO LASTNIGHT SO IT HAS BEEN DECIDED TO GIVE THINGS UNTIL THE END OF THE MONTH TO GATHER OUR FULL LIST OF MEMBERS AND WE WILL THEN GET MEMBERSHIP CARDS FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS JOINED.

Item 1: Membership Update :
Click confirmed the membership now over 150 . Group agreed that this years membership would close 31st October and club year would run 1st Sept to 31August .KC to provided updated list to group at full track supporters meeting and copy for Drumbo Racing manager.
2.0 Suggestion box and notice board:
Box will be located in tea room and any suggestions to be discussed at monthly committee meetings.Track have agreed to provide new notice board and this will be placed in tea room .The notice board will include updated membership lists, club constitution advertisements for competitions etc.
3.0 Update on sponsorship :
The following individuals , companies have agreed sponsorship for DTSC events :
Martin Lavery Pet foods Lenny McKinney Transporter Aidan Mcallister Transporter Ocean Foods Track Bookmakers Impact Plumbing Kieran Connolly
Negotiations are continuing with other groups/individuals .
4.0 A Draft timetable of competitions was agreed :
Dec 16 :Robert Connolly Memorial (with 200 bonus to member with bitch that goes furthest in competition) Jan 17: Martin Lavery Foods sponsored stake Feb 17 :Ocean foods sponsored stake. March 17:Lenny McKinney Transporter sponsored stake April 17: Track Bookmakers sponsored stake . May 17 : Impact Bathrooms sponsored stake July 17: Aidan Mcallister transporter sponsored stake.
The format and grade of these competitions to be agreed at next full meeting with members .

Weekly Sponsored Race: Group agreed to sponsor one race per week from first weekend of November . Draw will be made in tea room for nominated race on Friday night prior to racing and 50 will be awarded to member with winning dog in nominated race .(this race can be either Friday or Saturday night)
6.0 Weekly Fundraising :
A weekly ballot will be held for meal for two at Drumbo Park to raise funds for future sponsorship.
7.0 Next Meeting :
Full meeting of club members will take place Tuesday October 18th at 6.30 at Drumbo Park Tea room .

AFTER TONIGHT WE HAVE OVER 160 PAID UP MEMBERS BUT THE COMMITTEE NEED THE HELP OF OUR MEMBERS, THE SPONSORSHIP WE HAVE GATHERED WAS GATHERED BY COMMITTEE MEMBERS APPROACHING PEOPLE AND ASKING FOR SPONSORSHIP AND I FEEL THEY SHOULD BE COMMENDED FOR THE WORK THEY HAVE PUT IN IN SUCH A SHORT TIME, THIS SHOWS THE COMMITMENT WE HAVE AND WE HOPE ALL OUR MEMBERS DO THEIR BIT SHOULD IT BE BUYING A BALLOT OR GETTING FURTHER SPONSORSHIP, WE STILL NEED A SECRETARY, KIERAN IS TRYING TO DO 2 JOBS AND DOING THEM WELL BUT SURELY OUT OF OUR MEMBERS WE HAVE SOMEONE WILLING AND CAPABLE OF FILLING THIS POSITION, HOPEFULLY WE GET A GOOD TURN OUT AT OUR NEXT MEETING ON THE 18TH OCTOBER AND SOMEONE PUTS THEMSELVES FORWARD FOR THE SECRETARYS POSITION. AS THEY SAY MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK. THE SUGGESTION BOX IS IN PLACE AND THE NOTICE BOARD WILL BE IN PLACE IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE. THE MORE MONEY WE CAN RAISE THE MORE MONEY WE CAN GIVE TO OUR MEMBERS AS IV SAID BEFORE ENTER YOUR DOGS AT DRUMBO AND COME SEE ME AND JOIN OUR EVER EXPANDING CLUB OR COME TO THE MEETING AND JOIN.

Good see a number of stakes getting run in sure if every member mentioned it to friend who maybe owns a business would like run a race or stake in there name wouldn't be bad idea I could think of few myself I could approach or some benefit nites for worthy causes usually generate a bit of a buzz
