Any more updates on his pups? I have an almost 10 month old litter which is obviously too early to tell anything but curious of any breaker/pre-training reports.

I have 4 x Fernando Bale x Pearl Napoleon pups going to the breakers in 2 weeks. There is 1 x dog and 3 bitches. The dog is 35 kgs and looks the real deal One of the bitches is 28kgs and the other two are 26.5 so they are a good size as well. Hope we can get another Ride the Rails or Benteke out of this litter. Wont be long now that I can share with you what my opinion is of Fernando Bale as a sire but at this moment could not be happier. All pups have good attitude and confirmation and are very keen. Good luck to everyone that has some Fernando's

I have one going to the breaker in early April
Athletic and leggy dog, but will be lucky to hit 30kg when he races.
Bit slow & shy in the yards when we got him up from Victoria, but after a couple of months, the penny dropped and he is keen enough now.
He should get past the break in stage.

Ravenna's mother Sweet Shadow was a handy city class bitch who won a Lauching Pad heat at Sandown running a group dog mid race section. Thx for the link Werner.
here's the results http://www.igb.ie/results/view-results/?track=NWB&date=03-Mar-2017#race5
Ran 3rd beaten a hd x hd ..................if you cut and paste that address into a new tab and scroll to race 5 Terry

FERNANDO x Scissor Queens should only be a couple weeks away from the track. I know mine can gallop, and from what I understand the others can get along nice as well.

Cant understand why some people want to see this dog fail at stud. PAW anti's? Never meet the man, but would dearly love to sit down and have a few beers with him. And discuss all things Greyhound Racing. (long as he shouted) Fernando Bale would have been the most swabbed dog in Aust history. No reason there not to use him! Size irrelevant in stud dogs. His sire? (Kelso Fusileer) Good but not great? Dunno, give him some time, and at least another 18 months before judging him. Hope you start the juggernaut rolling Ben.

Terry it has nothing to do with Failure at stud the question I asked was why aren't his early pups being named now we all know how good the dog was when racing but at this point with pups on the ground upwards to 20 mths old and not much spruiking going on especially on this particular thread about how his pups are breaking in surely someone must be over excited to write about how good their pups are by him.Now let's put it this way he is the highest priced freshman sire that has ever gone to stud in the world and if he is going to make it as a sire then maybe a little spruiking about the progeny by him would suffice.....drugs don't come into this equation when they go to stud the ability to produce winners does and that's what people would like to know because his oldest pups are up there near that magical racing age ...and please don't come back at me and say his pups are too young to race because at 16 mths old a pup can run in a maiden ....smart people know when they have a reasonable pup after break in many know prior to education ...so for mine people that have his pups in his 1st 10 or 15 litters would have enough information whether they are up to the mark over the shorts There have been plenty of good dogs just like FB go to stud and the owners commanded plenty of cash for their services and breeders paid up this and other sites were saturated with literature about their pups and how good they were going Goodsey being one another was Shakey Jakey and the list goes on so for mine FB is coming into his crucial months with his 1st 10 litters because in my opinion if they don't produce the wares and stats on the track he as a stud dog can join other failures of the stud rank world PAW won't put in too many mentions because he owns FB as far as I know and it wouldn't be good advertising to go writing that his early pups are ordinary to mediocre and let's not forget FB has had the cream of the bitches to service

The reality is most of the larger breeders wont post anything positive about their dogs on this site anymore as they'll be shot down in flames by the usual crew straight away.Look at the grief BB coped on here early on, theres no way there lining up for that again, FB will do whatever he does, if he throws he throws and if he doesnt he doesnt
I hear your concerns John but oldest pups are 18 months, dozen or so litters probably only half a dozen dogs named but these days with all the costs for naming etc most will wait for pre training results (cant go off break in reports) before naming. Myself we normally name pups around 18-19 month stage at the earliest.
The writing will be on the wall in 6 months, mind you if he throws some good ones the same people will be saying he had all the best bitches anyway and had to succeed.

the biggest problem with Fernando being a stud success is from a line breeding perspective his dam's pedigree has to do all the work in most cases...........if Fernando's dam's pedigree stands up with the bitches that have been put to him, he will most likely throw.

The criteria for getting a straw as I was aware was a city winning bitch currently in season , doesn't mean that fernando was a good choice for that particular bitch from a pedigree perspective. In saying that he's on hiding to no where. Always people lining up to pot a dog. Particular the usual PAW haters

Opposite actually Ryan, early days it was selective bitches and later on too any one who possessed the 4 grand.Id be interested to know in this environment how many serves per month he is even doing.Id be surprised if he doesn't make it for various reasons.
