It's Monday mate Pt

Good first run - 23.22 - she will improve lots on that and went as quick as the maiden winner who won by quite a few lengths.

I believe she trialled, a fair bit quicker than that Robert!
But will leave it at that. The Owners, Trainer, Breeder will tell you all if they wish to. Cheers

Terry,

What they do in a race is where it counts.
We all have dogs that can break records in trials.

Hi Tony, you have to start somewhere! Times tell me if I have a good dog or not. Not to many that trial lengths slower than they can run in races is there? I did talk to the trainer last night, I have nothing to gain by pumping this pup up.
We all have dogs that can break records in trials?? been on the sauce Tony? Ha

Sorry Robert I was referring to another trial.

I know of one astute trainer who has quoted to me " he might have one out of the box" this guy has had plenty of smart dogs so time will tell. This guy doesn't pump up his pups tyres so it must be going good.

I think we have all heard good and bad reports about Fernando pups but like all young stud dogs let's wait till there first crop of pups hit the track before sacking this dog.

I guess it's a bit like when your pup breaks in slow or won't chase you blame the breaker then it's the rearer then it's the trainers.

For me ( and I say this in the nicest way ) I don't care if FB makes it or fails but what he's done on the track he deserves a crack as a stud dog.

We have used him once and could not be happier with our pups imo they are the nicest looking pups we have. They tick so many boxes.

Good luck to those who who had the balls to use him at his price as a freshman.

It's very easy coming in here and having cheap potshots at FB.

Barry,
I'm not having a go at FB, what I am saying is that a lot of dogs go really well in preparation for racing by running phenomenal times on trial days. Yes, I admit I would rather a dog be trialling well than the other way around, but you have been around dogs long enough to know that it's what they eventually do in race conditions that counts.
I wish all the owners and trainers of FB pups all the very best and I hope many of them go on to be champions. Let their performance on the race track be the telling factor, not the stopwatch.
Just my opinion.

There's 5 in it from the one litter and the other 3 don't have a lot of form

Tonight will probably be his 1st winner

I was equally excited Ben - Tough start to his career just as he was making a very very big run clipped them as going around and fell. Seemed ok after the race just a bit ginger.

Ha yeh definitely a tough start, hopefully doesn't knock his confidence around too much.........normally jumps a lot quicker than that. The winner of the race looks classy

I,m thinking buy an American bred bitch and he,ll click better with them, still plenty of time for FB to establish himself with good ones.
