Join Maria Dagg and John Geoghegan for the second round of the Connolly's RED MILLS & Track Supporters Club Unraced 525 from Clonmel, it was certainly a night of upsets as all four of the favourites were beaten. Greg Corcoran's, Burnt Beans, produced the fastest time of the competition to date when taking the opening heat in 28.58, the second heat went to the bitch, Janefield Poppy, in 29.23, she showed her liking for the rails and she is one of three bitches still remaining in the stake. Brendan O'Shea won the RED MILLS Unraced Bitch Stake in Tralee at the end of the year with Crossfield Kate, her litter brother, Crossfield Jock, came out best in 29.12 to take the third heat. Punters continued to take a battering in the final heat of the night as the Ollie Bray trained Bakery Lane took over at the opening bend and went to win in 29.02. Following the heats we caught up with the winning connections, and between times we chatted to both punters and bookmakers down in the ring.

You are certainly right there John, our fellow was almost literally turned over and I don't know how he got back up to qualify.

It just shows that with pups they all need a few runs to really know what they are doing and for the trainers to know where they should be seeded.

Certainly a good night to be taking on the favourites !

Great video again, who would have believed that five of the eight first round winners would be knocked out a week later.

Burnt Beans really stepped up to the plate!
