they will not get away with it if they did anyway.

the backlash will be huge.

the army would not be enough to protect those politicians from disgruntled participants.

Go have a look at the shooters Facebook. They already playing hard ball with the Libs over the situation I have stated .
People once stated foley was our savour. Look how quite he has gone now .
all I'm saying their is no friends in politics.
The shooters are not stupid, before Orange they change their name from shooters and fishers to include farmers on the back of the support the greyhound industry was getting in the bush plus knowing most of the breeders and trainers lived in the bush .
Now they are canvassing the nsw country for candidates so they can try and win more seats off the nats. Never before have they ventured out to the bush and relied on votes from the registered shooters.
All I'm saying political parties do deals . They don't do things just to make themselves look good , ex specifically political parties that can never hold balance of power.

The SFF Party changed its name a long, long time before the Orange election n have always targeted country NSW n other areas of Australia. You're using information that is corrupting your argument. So, will you be voting Liberal next election ?
.
Once upon a time, weren't you a big fan of Troy Grant ? I know your mate is/was.

Mark Donohue please get your facts right .
and no i have and always will be a labor voter. and a pauline hanson voter in Federal.
In July 2009, the party changed its name to the Shooters and Fishers Party,[2] and in April 2016, the name was changed to its current name.[3][4]

My facts are right. Perhaps, you should read the link first before you post.
.
They changed their name long before there was a suggestion of a by-election at Orange. According to your Link, they applied in February 2016. The Ban was in the middle of the year and the by-election was in October or November 2016. It was held when the Seat became vacant when the State Member went to the Federal Seat in July. The notice of the Ban came out after the Federal Election.
.
The changed of name didn't mean they weren't trying to represent them beforehand. I think you should start working out a proper timeline.
.
We need representatives in parliament who are going to support us. The Liberal and Labor Parties haven't.

The Labor Party did support the overturning of the Ban.
Do the Labor Party support more funding for us / our fare share of the Pie ???

Mark,
When they were in Gov't, they refused to changed the ICA and still to this day, balk at doing it.
.
Yes, in regards to the current BAN, they have supported the industry, but the BAN is still on, until the Gov't repeals it.
.
This will make your hair stand up. The NSW ALP `preferenced' the Animal Justice Party and `handed them' a Seat in Parliament because they thought they wouldn't be a threat at the election.
.
The only Party really supporting the greyhound industry is the SFF Party. The others are `hairy fairy' about it when it suits them.

All i, saying is i would not trust any political party. As they use peoples causes as pawns to get what they want.

Shannon, they changed it for every future election. That is, to represent the Farmers as well. It wasn't specifically about the Orange Election. To me, it was a smart move.
.
Are you suggesting that they aren't really supporting or representing the greyhound industry ? What's your point ?
.
Okay, got your point when you updated your post. Well, why do you vote Labor and Pauline Hanson if you don't trust any of them ?

YES correct.
I believe they are using the greyhounds as leverage to get some of the gun laws in nsw watered down.

Everyone know,s the NSW government no matter if it was labor or liberals in power ,they will not touch the inter code.
They know this aswell.
Our only hope is to get more TAX PRIORITY income.
But the way i see it,the greyhound reforms is now the governments baby, they will have to come up with the cash from somewhere to implement these reforms as it was such a big deal.it will not just get wiped under the table.

Lets talk about labor.
They marched beside us at our rally saying give the greyhounds our fair share.
well the time is for them to stand up and pressure the government.
but where are they?
don't hear a word from them now.

The fishers have never had anyone in the lower house before the orange bi election and they hold no power in lower house and non in the upper house even though they have two candidates.
so they are what the big parties call nusense parties like the AJP.

They will make all noise but can not really cause the big parties any trouble.

you know what they call the upper house
want to be politicians.or where all politicians go to die.

Things are a changing. I agree to disagree with you, but if we have your mentality, the two major parties would still be ruling without negotiation with the minor parties. What they do from there is called politics.
.
The Upper House is just as important as the Lower House. One thing for sure, the SFF Party won't die wondering what they could have done for the greyhound industry regardless of the politics behind it all. We should embrace the change, instead of coming up with draconian clichs that are stale and inaccurate. If there was a better alternative, I'd be onto it. At this stage, the SFF Party is our best hope.

If the McHugh report is going to be retained and followed then the Government will look like bigger gooses if they don't address the changes to the funding model which was also endorsed by the Reform Panel

Every report that the Government has commissioned is telling them to do change the ICA and now the new Tax Harmonisation funds.

The big but is, Will they change it and make it fairer??

This area is where the manipulators are active!!

The latest news is, the Bill to repeal the Ban w/o the $ attached to our future will be defeated n then amended to include the money. The ALP is definitely not going to vote for the Repeal if it doesn't include the $ thanks to Mr Borsak, Mr Foley n Mr Fred Nile. The Coalition is divided on this issue.
.
We wish you all of the best in your pursuit n thank you for taking this stance.

The Government will Cherry pick what it wants from the McGoo Report just like McGoo Cherry picked the submissions given at the Commission, the process was / is biased from start to finish.

That's right. The SC assisting the Special Commission's opening address was to prove why the industry should be closed down, instead of being impartial and allowing the evidence to prove or disprove it.

There were 82 recommendations made by McGoo and the Grub & Pig / Baird & Grant picked 1 of the 82 to run with "BAN THE NSW GREYHOUND INDUSTRY"
