Great win tonight by jimmy newob in the Ballarat cup heats running 25.34. Running quicker than bewildering and only just over a length off Melb cup winner Aston Dee bee. Congrats to the master trainer Barry Fullerton and team Fullerton.Good luck in the final next week and I know this dog will be trained to the minute for this race and it couldn't be a more deserving win for team Fullerton as they are the nicest people l have meet in greyhound racing.

Considering the travelling the connections do with all their dogs it would be awesome to see their kennel star win the Ballarat cup both would be deserving winners

The Fullartons have done an incredible job with him. It would be an extremely difficult decision to hand him over but for the sake of the dog, its the right decision. Mildura is just too far away.

No doubt the Fullertons would be devastated at having the dog removed from their care.

I dont know them well enough to know what happened but I do know that the owner and the trainer have been friends for decades. I would be very surprised if the owner just did a shit act and took the dog without an agreed conversation. I dont think Kel Greenough is any better than Barry Fullarton but I do believe the dog will prosper being closer to the tracks.

Never be surprised when money is involved.

Very true Karen. The owner did knock back $75k early on though. Thats why I'd be surprised if it was nasty.

Jimmy finally won a big race, blowing away some good dogs in the process with his brilliant early pace. So proud of him.
