So how is that fair on a person if they do the exact same thing but don't have a wife or partner to transfer the dogs to!! Where do they stand? Im a believer that you do the crime you do the time.

How much Ryan? 3 months suspension = $$$ to ?? All different case scenario's! $5k to JT, Greenough, Dailly's, Azzopadi, etc is very small change, (1 City Win) a country battler it's a small fortune!

Bradley what you've described is cynicism not realism and I'm not meaning that in a derogatory way. Some people are just that way.

I wld have thought transparency wld be a far better approach. The cobalt saga with the horses is a classic example where you have racing integrity and participants hating each others guts. No good comes from that.

On one hand integrity have been hammered in the past by trainers exploiting rules and always being one step ahead. Now that integrity appears to have caught up with testing regimes, they appear intent of nailing participants to the wall by ruining their reputations, businesses and lives, with a guilty until proven innocent(at great cost) attitude. They don't seem to care what damage is done and have no regard for human rights - racing is suffering as a result, because they now have egg on their face with the Kav/Obrien acquittal and are looking to cover up. Respect for the integrity department is diminishing by the day publicly.

Just feel it's something to learn from, leaving the past in the past, not trying to settle a score(or petty jealousy's), and moving on. It appears they are trying to gain transparency and respect here with this case by showing a little 'give', moving the dogs into the partners name. I think its a step fwd treating case by case, and a far more professional way to behave.

Ryan, I have now been through the process RADB and VCAT for my "one ml of B12". I have known you for a while and believe you are an intelligent person. This thread is not about a particular trainer or trainers but the rule itself. I can reel of a bunch of trainers that since the Mallia Magri VCAT case in 2015 the 11.7 local rule has become a joke and whatever the penalty of disqualification is has no meaning, unless you are a single person and then you are stuffed.

I could also reel off a whole lot of stuff relating to your comments that are inaccurate and I will not because this is about the rules not the people breaking the rules.

EG. Local Rule 11.5 Where a person's registration is cancelled or suspended pursuant to this Rule, the Board shall notify the person in writing of such cancellation or suspension.

So 4 months down the track into a 6 month disqualification and after 2 emails by me I get some official confirmation of the disqualification and conditions thereof and not from the board but a GRV employee.

If these minor matters are not handled correctly, what of the major ones? I would welcome a phone call to share with you my experiences!

Actually: 11.6 No person who resides with any person who is Disqualified, Warned Off or declared to be a Defaulter shall be permitted to be or remain registered under these Rules unless otherwise approved by the Board and any existing registration is open to cancellation by the Board subject to re-registration with the Boards approval.

Approved by the board. Mallia Magri VCAT decision set a precedence so these rules are an actually a farce.

Hi Charles,
I've always known you to be straight up and honest. I'm not familiar with your case and I dont normally read the RADB appeals tab, however I did with the case Bradley is referring to because someone fairly new to the industry contacted me thinking this was big news as it was over a big time trainer, so having familiarised myself a little with the brief I made comment on this topic.

I've got a sick child on my hands atm and trying to organise specialist appts as we speak, so will give you a call at some stage. cheers and g/l.
