I don't know why Ando's Mac would'nt have gone back to team Bravo's kennels (already knows the kennel/routine and raced successfully) when returning to Victoria.

in my opinion it's a bad move, but nothing surer Ando's Mac will win the next 10 group races to prove me wrong now.

i would'nt use him at stud now (got to be a reason he chops and changes kennels)

i noticed recent Ladies Bracelet winner Dawn Mini has joined the kennels as well. Which is surprising because she won't get the same one on one as with her Owner/Trainer which may be detrimental to performance.

Personal opinion of him aside anthony gets pretty good results. Yeah some dogs wont cut it with the change from a small kennel to a big professional one but more often than not they handle it fine. I think darren stayed at anthonys too over the melbourne cup trip so 3 finalists from 1 property in the richest race says anthony must have some good facilities!

This is the same Matt James who bagged the crap out of Barcia Bale and Fabregas right? Top two sires in the country

Sounds like a plus for Andos Mac if Mats putting a line thru him

I was unaware that ando's mac had previously been in the kennels and I assumed ando's mac must of been a barker or hard work for trainers to move a dog of his quality on(like a lot of el grand senors). I was not having a personal dig at Anthony azzopardi in any way. But if I hurt anyones feelings I'm sorry.

El grand senors aren't typically barkers but they are usually very headstrong and can be hard work.

I was just wondering why ando's mac wouldn't have gone back to bravos to be trained and assumed he must of been a bad kennel dog. But if he has previously been in the kennels it's a no brainer to go where he's comfortable. I wish connections nothing but good luck with him.

As the owner of Ando's Mac my decision was based purely on the help we received from Anthony to win the Melbourne cup and Warragul cup. Without him the wins wouldn't have been possible . Unfortunally in Nsw there is no races for the top grade dogs unless of course you head to Wentworth park week in and week out . Anthony is a great bloke an a excellent trainer and it was a very easy decision on where his next move was . As for barking far from the truth absolutely outstanding kennel dog . In fact every el grand senor I have been involved with have been exceptional mannered and pure chasers . EGS is a sire who I believe is greatly underrated . Ando's macs (max) run tonight in the Group 1 winter cup heats at albion park was truly magnificent and I believe one of his best wins . To jump fair and accelerate like he did to find the front was breath taking to me and reminds me 100% of his dad . I personally can't wait to head to Brisbane this week to cheer him on . Dream come true for us and is a champion in our eyes . Cheers Luke Anderson .

Luke you shouldn't have to explain your reasons but I'm sure this clears things up to those on the assumptions.

As for his run last night! :O ... He's got a big motor, good luck to you next week!!

You are exactly right, you don't have to explain anything to me. I made a honest mistake, I apologised and still wish you nothing but luck with the him.

As for Anthony azzopardi I haven't had much to do with him so I couldn't tell you what he's like. But he has ando's mac flying again and I guess that's all that matters.

Having any dog trained by Azza, should be considered a privelege Matt, because he is one of the best in OZ. Having had a number of dogs trained by Azza myself, i know 1st hand how well they are looked after, not only by him but also his family and staff. He is the ultimate professional, loves the animals and is hands on with each and every dog he trains, one doesn't become one of the best in the country, without a total dedication, real devotion, his true ability of knowing the animal and is meticulous. Also he is only 1/2 way thru his career as a trainer, 1000's of winners for him to train yet, rest assured.

Irrespective of this dog it has always surprised me that more dogs are not shifted to another trainer when they are fail fail fail in their races.

As a mug at this aspect of the game, it occurs to me that a change of environment, feed, race planning, training technique, or whatever might always offer a potential benefit.

It often works with footballers. Even cricketers.

imo Bruce it happens because trainers simply don't understand times(particularly sectionals), and what they give up about a particular dogs performance......btw they all think they do, by watching a 30 second video once or twice.
