I have talked this guy up for a long time now but it's time for him to get his own place within the forum.
He is still in his prime with hopefully his best racing to come he has been in 4 group 1 finals this year and won 2 of them unfortunately he got injured in the G2 Warrnambool Classic hurting his Achilles so is on the sideline at the moment but with some TLC he should be back to peak fitness in 2 months.
While he recovers his owners will be taking some straws from him which is exciting, With him currently being the highest credentialed off spring of BMO and with the success BMO is currently having with some very good dogs on the track at the moment it will be interesting to see what the interest in Lightning Frank straws is like.

He is standing at Meticulous lodge with Paul Westerveld so he would be the man to contact. I think he will be around the $1650 mark that including GST.

The article below by David Brasch gives some details on what sort of bitch he might suit he has performed on the track but he has a great temperament so should be an option for many.

My personal opinion but i'd be going to Thirty Talks for $1350 before him. he only met Lightning Frank once and had him beat. Lightning Frank is still a nice dog though.

Yeah fair enough, that is a serious run. As i said my personal opinion only, but i'd rather Thirty Talks. But both serious dogs.

Lightning Frank went from a 29:98 dog when they met to a 29:54 dog soon after. Personally I would rather Lightning Frank because he won 2 group 1's, the Temlee had the best of the best in that field and he beat them comprehensively, off times he was significantly faster at his best than Thirty Talks and the big ticket item- He is Black Magic Opal who is flying. Thirty talks was an amazing dog but I wouldn't base my opinion for stud duties off a hypothetical view of one race start- especially one where a dog broke down at the first turn. My view respectfully and each to their own

Yeah you're probably right, thirty talks was going to be better on the night, but overall lighting frank did go on to kick some serious goals. Hopefully neither dogs careers are over and they meet again in the future.

And I know for a fact that black magic opal throws a brilliant style of pup.
