Has anyone any idea what the least number of career starts a greyhound in Australia has taken to win from each trap/box. (1-8)?

Manila Dawn has achieved this in 18 starts.

G'day Phil,
I would be surprised if any have done it with too many fewer races, most dogs have barely raced from every box at 18 starts let alone won from everyone.
She couldn't have been more impressive in bringing up the achievement only going 4 100's outside Black Magic Opals previous record and 17 100's outside Above All's standing record.

I am a little biased but she is from one of the best dam lines in the country throwing Group class dogs for multiple generations now and just last night another 2nd offspring of Tifi, Mister Twister won the $100,000 Richmond Riches. With super quick bitches like Manila Dawn this line still has along way to go yet.

Fabregal did in 19 starts, but as the above person said it's rare to get a spread of different boxes.

Hi Mick,

As you know I bought up majority of the Tifia 2nd and 3rd litter. Dawn being the standout so far, they have their quirks but with the exception of Manila Fawn who suggered an injury they have all won races. The next litter to Banjo Boy is going to be interesting.

I think it's confirmed she is the quickest bitch ever around Hobart and at just over 2 She may find the extra and go below the existing clock. Now that would be an achievement.

Completing the wins from all boxes needs a element of luck. She could have completed in 14 races as 3 her last 6 starts have been from the 2 box.

Still some improvement left in her yet Phil. And the bitches in her line usually go better around the 2 turn tracks where they hug the rails around the tight turns and put a break on the field.

Out of interest of your question I had a look at the great Brett Lee to see how long it took him to win from every box. It took him 25 starts to win from each box.
As you say luck can play it's part, he was beaten in his 13th start form box 8 by 3/4 of length and he didn't draw box 8 again till his 25th start.

Fernando Bale 26 starts where he drew box 4 for the first time.

I just check Brett Lee myself. That would have been a record hard to break 13 starts. We think the same. She is running on the a hard one turn track that normally suits the big gallopers. The 1st time she went to Wentworth and sandown she ran off at the 1st turn. But she adapted quick and won next time. I think maybe she will head to Launceston which I am sure will give us a gauge.

Mick Stringer has done a great job with her.

A lot young dogs have troubles at Wenty the first time they go around there. Many miss time the boxes or do things wrong like run off the turn like dawn did. Its also a harder run than it looks too.
Mick is a great trainer, he can really get a dog to ping the lids.

Have checked the most obvious contenders, possibly its been achived with a less famous dog around a country track.? I can't find anything closer than Fabregal. As said just drawing boxes 1-8 in less than 20 draws is a real chance.
