Michael The Thoroughbred Standard bred model has proven to be more successful in resolving issues than Greyhound Racing. The issues confronting Trainers needs a stronger representation to Government. The Breeder has new rules and regulations to deal with that were not there in previous times The Trainer has a whole new raft of red tape and regulations that were not there in previous times THE TIME HAS COME - Its line in the sand time. These issues will become harder to deal with in future if the participants in the Greyhound Industry leave it up to the Authorities to direct traffic. Participants need to have a say in the future of their industry. Call it Unionism if you like - Trainers must become UNIFIED Approach Government from 2 fronts Australian Greyhound Trainers Association Australian Greyhound Owner Breeders Association

Agree with most of what you say and certainly agree with the main goal but I don't agree with "two is more powerful than one". Look at the main enemy to the industry...the professional model is there. Different divisions, sure, but ONE main goal and one engine room. Having said that, political pressure in tangent with a Federation is not only desirable but paramount.
