Great initiative Michael & good luck. I'll be watching for sure & can't wait.
There's know time like the present to test try "2 out matchraces" & fine tuning them while you can........seeing it may become a weekly event due to low breeding numbers.
All the best.

I like the match race concept for some variation much like T20 cricket and I'll be watching on the day, but I think dogs should have to qualify through a race not a solo trial it's a much harder to run low 29s in a race than a solo trial many dogs trial fast but can't put it together under race conditions for various reasons. I like to see the best race dogs not the best trial dogs fortunately the top race dogs have run the best times up until now I'd hate to see a Mepunga Blazer or Worm Burner knocked out of the top 8 by a dog that just has a trial when they have done it consistently on race night. JMO.

That's what group races are for, the whole point of this is to see what times some dogs can truly run, they're basically glorified trials but still interesting to see what times some dogs can run in small fields
