well now its pretty well proven the PTB have removed the instinct for a greyhound to chase, by implementing rags etc , (no reward)

what i want them to do now is implement a system that stops pups /dogs etc from DIGGING holes , thus eliminating what the inspectors deem a welfare issue ,,

Oh the flapping piece of shitty blue rag is doing the job at Wentworth Pk tonight.

2 out of the first 3 races have shown that dogs are NOT interested in it.

This is really turning out to be a costly exercise to the owners, trainers & punts that have invested their hard earn.

If the blue piece of sh1t is not changed & if the CARCASS is not introduced NOW on trial days (which the RSPCA don't have an issue with), rocks will have to be start thrown.

Race 3 replay at Wpk not up yet but Race 4 & 5 is lol.

I'm sure Michael Eberand appreciated the free run to the line.

Races 3 and 11 at Healesville yesterday.
Steve, it was race 1 at Traralgon, not 2. No adverse steward's report for race 2.
I agree totally with what you have just said about the rags. Most dogs are NOT interested in it, and we are paying dearly because of it.

I'd post a few more from the weekend .... but I am getting R.S.I. ...

I don't watch all that many races except when I am at the tracks calling, but of late, it's been a stark "wakeup call" to see just how many runners are lacking genuine chase and desire to pursue the lure (as opposed to keeping up with the next nearest dog/s). Then again, some of us predicted it. But that said, it's not "rocket science", surely?

surely trainers will have to get together and take a stance on this.

if breeding is down and the dogs that are bred are struggling to chase properly than it must be crisis time yeah?

Apparently we will no longer be arm trialling on the hoop lure.
We still won't implement the FOL.
Carcasses or any REAL incentive (NOT LIVE BAITING) are still banned.

.....and we have hundreds of dogs being rubbed out for failing to chase and marring and arguably hundreds more that never even break in on synthetic "lures".

When will GRV (and the other State bodies) address this very serious WELFARE concern?
When will the people responsible for these decisions step down in disgrace for failing in their duty of care?

Can anyone over the ditch confirm if NZ still trial with carcasses?
What is their injury rate with the FOL?
What is their "failure" rate, compared to ours (keeping in mind that a lot of our nonnies are ending up over there)"?

This is getting absolutely ridiculous. Incidents in the first 3 races at Traralgon today. Unless something changes very soon, a lot of punters will stop betting on them. Can you blame people for not breeding and walking away, given the current restrictions ?

Oh no Carole. The new rules and regulation are simply working just fine as the following replays from Victoria this month proves.
Grab a coffee, cup of tea & enjoy the highlights.

Most of these races I've shown this month in Victoria are MAIDEN RACES.....Which proves we have a problem with the educating levels (sound familiar - school kids - bring back the cane).

WITHOUT REAL-PROPER-FAIR DINKUM-RIDGY DIDGE-REWARDS (dead carcass-not live for those that can't read), the game or should I say hobby to a majority & an industry that supports 10,000 of jobs across this ONCE GREAT NATION is over.

WAKE UP YOU LUNATICS & SMELL THE ROSES.
