The two big whacks he copped probably took his mind off it Steve, not as blatant as other examples but good dogs chase despite any setbacks (well they used to)

TRARALGON Race 8 on 16/11/17 (note, NOT the 8, which obviously broke down into the first turn; but "take your pick" from the rest of the field!!!) :
They will NEVER admit they got it wrong......because they simply don't have the intestinal fortitude to allow carcasses ever again. Clueless and spineless at best. Or.......they know exactly what they are doing and are wilfully going about destroying the sport at worst.

Just more evidence that the rule makers HAVE GOT IT WRONG.
Take away the goal post and the soccer players have nothing to shoot for.
Take away the hoop, and goal shooters can't score.
The same with greyhounds.
Take away the (dead) rabbit skins or carcasses and the dogs have nothing to chase.

so what happens if the industry says australia wide to the PTB, we are now going to use a dead carcass , ????????//

A FULL industry wide strike would possibly work.....but it would never happen.
More appropriate action would be a "no-confidence motion" in management (or whatever the equivalent action is given our industry's unique status/structure).....or a legal challenge to the rules that argues they have no mandate to make such a rule in the first place (there is no common law precedent given there is ZERO animal cruelty involved in using a carcass) and that the rules are actually ANTI-welfare and therefore illegal. Not to mention that removing any type of food reward in training is clearly a restriction of trade and an abuse of the animals rights.

I would like to see how long it takes to see the first same sex marriage divorce, lawyers will be happy more LITIGATION. WE ARE IN ONE HELL OF A MESS.

After the first three legs, I was feeling quite confident, having 4 of the 7 runners going for me in the last leg.
Hold on--Make that 3 runners, after I discovered that one of my 4 runners was a late scratching at kenneling time, due to weight variation.
Never mind, I'll get the sub (which I already I had )-- the hotpot $1.30 favorite, which unfortunately injured itself going around the first turn.
Oh well, I still have 2 runners left,---- unfortunately they both got pinged for non-chasing.
One quaddie ticket in the rubbish bin.
Looking at the race and the time 31.36, I don't think any of 6 dogs left in the race after the $1.30 fav. got injured, wanted to win the race....they were just looking for the way back to the kennels.
If we want to promote betting on the dogs, we need to offer something better than half-interested dogs "chasing" a bunch of rags.

Can't wait till next Saturday evening Steve. On one TV I'll be watching the doggie's from Wpk & Meadows. On the other TV I'll be watch the Queensland State Election. The RED HEAD & HER TEAM are looking very promising. They won't win but they'll be shaking a few trees.

Gotta love being drawn in box 7 with this one in box 6 (following are it's only 2 starts... (just saying)
And PS: I thought I recalled the "quirky" name of one of the "stars" of those earlier videos ... and promptly discovered upon doing some quick research why the 5 dog from the first Traralgon video posted above by Ian was in my memory banks. It was actually resuming today, after it did this at its previous race appearance two months back:

Race 11 Cannington tonight; if I could read the 3 dog's mind correctly down the straight, I am pretty sure it WASN'T focussing on chasing the lure! Will be interesting to see what the Stewards over there thought of its actions approaching the finish line ...

Not much chance of changes boys, not with the political traitors at the helm, The Qld Libs & Nats preferenced their real enemies Labor & Greens in the state election and put One Nation last, so they are responsible for returning their enemy, Labor, to government via their preferences.!
What has become of this great country? Our leaders have completely betrayed and deserted us for their own personal pride, ego & position...disgusting!
