With the current banning of any kind of incentives that may keep the greyhound focused on chasing 100%.....things such as a dirty old sheep skin, god forbid a chicken carcass or even something as simply a bone or a feather, even a sausage (no sauce thx may swab), some races are becoming a joke.

The list of greyhounds that "Fail to Chase" during race conditions is GROWING by the week.....& the trend is adding to the shortage of greyhounds bred over the last 2 years.

Something needs to done ASAP to help encourage & reverse the ever increasing NON-CHASER.

Here's some recent races.

3 pulls up & 2 says hello ---> EXTERNAL LINK

4 & 2 ---> EXTERNAL LINK

3 ---> EXTERNAL LINK
8 ---> EXTERNAL LINK
5 ---> EXTERNAL LINK

Take your pick ---> EXTERNAL LINK

If you notice a race that shows evidence of NON-CHASING, copy the WWW-Address, & post it here.

Please note that all races chosen are in no way personal towards any owner or trainer, but are purely randomly based on recent video evidence available.

10 years ago Wayne, if somebody had of exposed a NON-CHASE via the net, they would have been shot down in a flash & accused of having an agenda or the like.

Well the only agenda I've got...is to prove the agenda that the boffins have recently orchestrated is working.

They tried to close the industry down with a stroke of the pen in 1 State, but it backfired.....so their doing it by default & over regulation of the industry is the theme.

We need a NATIONAL BODY who will stand up to these argy-bargy tactics, but I'm afraid by the time it happens, it'll be all to late.

We've tried the avenue of raising money to fight the cause, & we did so to the tune of Half a million dollars. What a GREAT EFFORT. But it's achieved nothing (well I haven't seen any proof) & we're going DOWN THE HILL quicker then a truck with no brakes.

Anyway.....Post your DVD's as they happen like Trevor has done. What a ripper but who I really feel sorry for is the owners as AS the current rules stand, their hands are tied if they (us) can't provide "Food rewards" when training, like they do when training dogs to run through hoops & play fetch.

It's a joke.

You're probably going to get a little flak from sensitive owners/breeders for this, Steve.
I'm with you 100% on what you trying to prove though.

It is nothing more than a joke and promotes early retirement and immense strain on depleting race pools and GAP.

The "no carcass" rules are DIRECTLY responsible for hundreds, if not thousands of dogs being prematurely retired or not ever making it to the track in the first place.

It is the MOST anti-welfare action ever undertaken......and it was introduced by the very people that proclaim to be the guardians of our industry.

Unfortunately, the irony is lost on them!

I totally understand Michael, but the thread is not about Sires or Damlines or Owners or Trainers. If that's brought into the equation, I'll personal report the post.

It's about what's happening to the chase in our sport.
I've never seen it so bad & it's thanks to those that think they know best....But it goes deep than that.

I reckon you could put more blame on the Control Boards as they seem to be more interested in appeasing the activists and members of political parties.

The GBOTA / Scott have a Remedy, straight racing only with 6 Dog fields, what hope does this industry have in N.S.W. ???

Hi Dan you are spot on with your comments that's why there is so much pathway racing pay us trainers and owners shit prize money while the governing bodies get paid or over paid I should say way to much for what they do we as paticipants who provide the product are getting shit on from great heights the word appeasing will bring us all down I got off the subject a bit but it all comes under the one umbrella

NOTHING will change while the control boards are too gutless to rein in their Greyhounds Australasia Representatives,all states must share the blame.

Kev how can control boards justify their positons when they have set out to make it too difficult for many hobby breeders/owners and trainers to stay in the industry. Participants have been screeming for years to only be ignored and when it finally hits the fan the onus is directed at participants. I have not seen one State control board stand up in defence of the industry that pays them so well. Their support is directly opposed to the majority and what they believe is the best way to go forward.
